hehe, found a copy of 3'Oclock High......I agree Bridesmaids was VERY funny, nothing unmanly about that, in fact
more good movies should disguise themselves cleverly as this one did. It would notch a few more wins in the old
balance sheet after visiting the red box and coming home with a "chick flick". I have no problem with people con-
sidering THIS a chick flick, but most chicks would disgree.

Watched Hanna Last night on what I deemed a recommendation from a poster in this thread.
It was not terrible, in fact it was not what I expected at all, and the premise was fresh and made
for real entertainment at most parts of the movie. In the end it left a kind of hollow "COME ON,
is that all you are gonna do with this great potential?" feeling, but all in all it was good fun.

Watched Arena last night, a B-grade film that Sam Jackson headlined. He has told reporters again and again
that movies like 'Snakes' allow him to wait out the good roles, and also live the life he wants to live. It was not
a terrible WWE type movie, though I could be wrong. It was gladiator for the 21st century. In reality,
the way the premise played out made it worth watching. It was good drek. Lotso blood.

I was in a Statham mood this week, watched CRANK and last night, KILLER ELITE. Not sure what it is about the
guy, but the script or plot is usually irellevant, I just think he is the perfect action movie actor. I thought Killer Elite
was a better movie than a script, and certainly the pacing was off some. But his girlfriend is HOT, and she's
in it with him. Crank is always entertaining, enjoyed that one too.

Waht'd you think of FELON, Bill. Not one that just jumps out at you from the shelf, but I thought it was

It was a good movie, something different. Shame about Val Kilmer I think it's the weight gain that's not getting him any good roles.

There's a few actors like that, they overwork the hell out of themselves on crappy movies because for some odd reason they aren't marketable (anymore) to Hollywood.

That's why I agreed to go see it with my gf, because I thought it was going to at least be sorta hangover funny.

It wasn't. And I hated it. Only a few laughs, mostly just a depressing pile of crap.

Conspiracy Theory w/Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts. Completely escaped my notice for the last 14 years. Not bad, but would have been better with any one of a dozen different actors. I like Mel OK, but he was wrong for this.

However, the highlight for me was the mention of MKULTRA project of CIA. (I must have been oblivious to that story, too.)

Now, on to me. I watched Fright Night last night. I do not like horror movies, they don't scare me and what
they DO to me isn't something I tend to seek out. This movie was good. I like 'horror' like The Lost Boys,
Phantasm, etc...more compartmentalized and hip than the classics like Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, et all.
Not a fantastic movie, but very entertaining.
