I watched this one a few days ago, and rewatched it last night with a friend who was interested in it.
The movie makes SUCH a dramatic shift about 30-40 minutes in - it is really downright startling. I've seen it a few times, so I don't think anything about it but my friend went from pleasantly enjoying a movie to squirming pretty quickly.

I forgot to mention Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Much better than the previous films, although it was a bit too long. Plenty of tributes to the original series and the animated film. Nimoy as Sentinel was a good tribute to his previous role as Galvatron. Also the Megatron sitting on his throne at the Lincoln Memorial was a good tribute to the original caratoon. Looks like they went back to the Transformers roots a bit more for this one. Can't make every fanboy happy, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Watched the entire first season of Walking Dead last night.
I watched Your Highness last night....Eastbound and down in medieval times. Not a bad thing necessarily.
The coarse language and ideas slammed into the primitive context was kind of funny. 80% bathroom humor and
the always lovely Zooey Deschanel. I hope I can make time to watch her new show as well.

Insidious- The first half was very good. The second half was like the writers quit and the last 15 minutes was really really really really really really really really really really bad.

1 1/2 hours of Cars 2 in the theater with my 3 year old...yeah he decided to throw a fit so we left early. The part that I did see was good. Oh well...time bonding with my son is a great thing :tu

New season starts in October, I cannot wait.
Spy Games with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt - Not sure how I overlooked this for so long. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Very good. Kinda sad to see it end though.

Hereafter. It was longwinded and thin. It's a bummer, cause they had a neat idea, they just didn't put it together in an entertaining fashion. I suppose I'd blame it on the direction and editing both, cause it's hard to wreck a good story like that without lots of help.
Maybe someone will see it and rewrite it and give it another shot. That'd be great. :tu

Paul Extended edition, great movie.
The final Harry Potter. My wife is a manager at the theater here so we see everything for free. When we saw Harry Potter we had just closed the theater and there were only 2 other people (managers) in the theater besides my wife and I. Makes for a fun experience.

Exquisitely crafted and well-executed. Its a shame that it was hated on so much. Kubrick is the man!
