DejaVu with Denzel. Cool concept.

If you're in to reading ;) there's a cool scifi book that really builds on this same premise: Light of Other Days, by Arthur C. Clarke & Stephen Baxter. Not so much the actual time-traveling piece, but the remote viewing concept and how it would impact life, privacy and our perspective of history. I'm a big fan of Baxter's stuff and I think this was one of his most enjoyable books.

I actually have seen most of his stuff. He generally skips around, but ends up filling in the blanks as the movie progresses. A lot of unfilled spaces left in the "Basterds" film. No explanations for the missing links between many of the scenes. That part isn't what I've noticed in other past Tarantino movies.

No explanations for the missing links between many of the scenes. That part isn't what I've noticed in other past Tarantino movies.

to each is own, but I think that was tarantino's 2nd best film, first being Pulp Fiction

Just finished watching Serenity on SyFy...just remembered how much I enjoy this movie and need to buy this and Firefly... In case you don't know Firefly is the story before Serenity that was sadly cancelled by FOX after it's first season...

Watching the remake of "Taking of Pelham 1-2-3". The shootout with Travolta's 2 partners near the end was the most ridculous crossfire situation I have ever seen. Would have been a lot of dead cops if it had gone down that way...gotta love the movies.

I also watched The Taking of Pelham 123 last night. It was eh, nothing great, but I did think Travolta's character was very believable. I like him as a bad guy though, so I'm biased.

He does play the villains well. He was believable, that shoot out in the streets was not.

I can't accept that as it doesn't have Morgan as either Ned Logan in "Unforgiven" (assassin), or Walter in "Brubaker" (berserk convict reciting Aretha Frankin's "Respect"). :r

Did catch Public Enemy. Was one of a few non-wacked-Johnny Depp movies, and was pretty good.
(Looking forward to the dark Alice in Wonderland!!!)

Caught Avatar in the Theatre this weekend, before it is replaced.
If you haven't seen it in 3D, I assure you it won't be the same on your 'small screen' - that's for sure.

Great special effects, tied in the live-action scenes well, a miriad of colors, even some of the previews were in 3D to get us aclimated.
$4 extra to cover their new equipment, but fug them - we kept the glasses. (Wayfarer style shades, but no UV protection)

For those who saw it... I want one of those Jungle-kitties!
