Grown Ups

Disappointing. With all that comedy talent, the writing was not up to par. I'm wondering if they just ad libbed the majority of the movie. :sh
I couldn't help but think that too. Thing is, when my buddy's and I sit around and bust each other's chops we're a lot funnier than they were (or so we think ;)).

Due Date. Very funny.

DUE DATE WAS very good. Something about Zack Galifanakis, he doesn't have to try too
hard to be completely compelling and worth watching closely. I saw another of his the other
day, "It's kind of a Funny Story". Not a funny subject at all, but a good little movie, and oddly, funny.

I just finished watching Traning Day...

" Today's a training day, Officer Hoyt. Show you around, give you a taste of the business. I got 38 cases pending trial, 63 in active investigations, another 250 on the log I can't clear. I supervise five officers. That's five different personalities. Five sets of problems. You can be number six if you act now. But I ain't holding no hands, okay? I ain't baby-sitting. You got today and today only to show me who and what you're made of. You don't like narcotics, get the **** out of my car. Go get you a nice, ***** desk job, chasing bad checks or something, you hear me? "

I liked that movie. I think I've watched it three or four times now, or at least parts of it. I didn't think it was "great", but I really enjoy watching it. It's kinda weird that it's not one of my all-time faves, considering how much time I have in it, but it does have tons of elements that make it very watchable.
I think the colors they used to pull off the post-apocalyptic thing just put me off. It'd be so much better if it was shot in real colors, or at least I think so.

I watched Ghostbusters the night before last. It was fun. For all you guys that can remember taking your kids to that, or going to see it as a kid, It's 27 years old. I couldn't believe it was from 1984.
It was fun all over again, I enjoyed it bunches. :tu

The more Angelina trys to act like a sophisticated lady, the uglier she gets.

Throw in a terrible British accent and you might be looking at Madonna.

Leaves of Grass. Quirky Ed Norton playing twins movie. Er... 2.5 of 5 stars, I would say. Not horribly original, a little contrived, checkmarks off a script composition menu. I do think Ed Norton is a decent actor though.

Isn't that out of print?

I took my mom to go see Battle LA (or whatever it's called) tonight. I heard bad things about it. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It's more or less just a popcorn flick, but I pay the theater premium for the badabing this kind of movie brings with it, not for a deep story.

Hobo with a Shotgun

You know with all the exploitation movie tributes lately (Grindhouse, Piranha 3d, Drive Angry, Machete, Black Dynamite) this one felt the most authentic. Most likely cause it broke most barriers, was real grainy looking, and low budget instead of the big budget tributes. Great time, though not for the easy or even more so offended!
