HA, the Royal Tennenbaums.....HATED IT the first time, but saw something in there that told me it would grow on me.
The last two times I watched it, indeed it did.....crazy flick.

Last night I finished Fair Game. This is not a movie with Cindy Crawford although it sounds like it.
Not terrible, certainly enraging, but knowing what a partisan dork Sean Penn turned out to be, ehhh,
I kept my distance intellectually. Well acted for the most part, and Penn does a doppelganger for Joe Wilson.
Naomi Watts doesn't have NEAR the horseface I always thought Val. Plame had, but REALLY, she is not
totally horse-faced now that I revisit the controversy. I give it a 75%

The Dilemma, w/ Vince Vaughn and Kevin James.

Absolute shite even though it had Jennifer Connelly in it.
Disappointing since that's tonights fare. :( Shame VV wwent from being able to do know wrong
in my eyes to be unable to do right. Must be the divorce from Jon Favreau. If it indeed was some
kind of break-up. All I know is they were the best comic and straight man since Jerry Lewis and Deano.

Over the weekend, I rented:

Skyline: as my wife reports "glad we didn't pay good money to see this at the theater." It appears the script writers ran out of ideas at the end of the movie (maybe even in the beginning).

The Book of Eli: Denzel Washington and Gary Oldfield. Enjoyed this one, even though my wife said "its always a pleasure when you bring an uplifting movie home.":D

The movie was supposedly adapted from the graphic novel and they totally screwed the pooch. It is nothing like the comic and that's too bad as I think it's one of the best series ever produced. Again, I think this is the case of Hollywood relying too much on pretty graphics and action instead of quality acting and well written screenplays.

That PARTICULAR PART, to me, is the best plot device I have seen in any film in decades.
You KNEW from the moment you saw Bill Murray in that makeup that this was going to

full force. GREAT movie for what it was, even better for the cleverness and spark it
showed throughout.

Watched Super 8 this weekend. Really well done. Felt like I was watching a cross between goonies and ET. Really was a throwback to the movies of the 80's. One that lets your imagination go crazy.

I watched a really great film last night, Kill The Irishman......many of our Ohio brethren will know the story of
Cleveland crime figure Danny Greene and his 'hard to kill' reputation. Not just a great flick through it's length,
but they actually ended it without falling over, like Hollywood tends to do. EXTREMELY highly recommended.

I just watched "Take Me Home Tonight", probably the best movie of this genre I have seen.
What genre you ask? Put it this way, the characters go to Shermer High School.
Topher Grace is good.
It has NO Problems, except the soundtrack. HOW DID WE DANCE TO THAT SHI+?

It was interesting, I'll have to say I watched it for Dan Fogler, Fanboys was probably one of the best non-kevin smith comedies in the past few years. It had that re-watchable aspect to it you don't get too often.

It's as simple as checking the cast....Owen Wilson can't make a good movie.
I am afraid it's quite impossible. I think it's the nose.
