Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! Had a great time last night, smoked a couple of tasty Ligas and saw a couple of ole friends that have not been around for a while. This weekend sports wise, we have plenty of college and NFL football, the World Series continues and the NASCAR drivers are in Martinsville, VA (the shortest track on the circuit). Beth and I are heading down in the morning to see Jeremy, Christen and baby Eva for an overnight-er and spend some quality family time. Enjoy everyone and remember to stay safe out there...... :D

Thursday evening was a blast at the Leaf, a number of my Pennsylvania / Delaware family and friends were there along with Robert Holt from Southern Draw and the crew from Famous Cigar Shop. Congrats to the Army football team for beating Duke and having a perfect home record this year. Today, NASCAR is on at 1430 (2:30pm) along with a number of NFL games. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's finally Friday! We had a good time last night at Schlesinger's, the place was packed and we enjoyed top shelf cigars and all. This weekend, NASCAR will crown champions in all three series starting tonight with the Camping World Truck Series race. Then tomorrow with the Xfinity Series race and finally rounding out the weekend with the big boys on Sunday with the Monster Energy Cup Series race starting at 1500 (3pm).

They will play the annual Goat-Engineer game this afternoon - A football game between the "Goats" (the bottom half of the senior (Firstie) class academically), and the "Engineers" (the top half). A huge congrats to Army for winning Saturday's Army / Navy game and bringing home the Commander-in-Chiefs trophy, first time since 1996. What a great weekend we had, socialized with 3 Medal of Honor recipients, retired NFL players along with Roger Staubach, numerous Army & Marine Generals as well as Naval Admirals. We went out to Home Depot and purchased a new refrigerator for the garage as the old is starting to work improperly. We did watch college bowl games all afternoon into the night and definitely were on the edge of our seats for a few of em'. After work today, I'll be heading over to the Newark Airport where I'll be checking into the hotel for the night as I have to be there at 0400 in the morning. Had a sort of busy day yesterday, got my glasses repaired that the arm broke while in Nicaragua; stopped in a new Vietnamese restaurant to me in Wappingers Falls, NY and had a very tasty bowl of "Pho"; dropped of Beth's car for maintenance which they kept and gave me a loaner; met up with Sean from Big Guns BBQ and discussed this year's Quad State Herf; took down the remainder of outside Christmas lights. All in all, it was a good day and I'm ready to go back to work. I do see a little snow coming our way today into tomorrow. We got some grocery shopping done then headed to a new place we found on Facebook, the Gardiner Liquid Mercantile. It has local beers on tap and the food is very tasty. Yesterday after work, we sat out and enjoyed cold beers and I smoke a well aged Joya de Nicaragua Machito as we barbecued inch and a half thick pork chops, sweet potatoes and asparagus. The first being Defiant Brewing Company in Pearl River, NY and the other being Industrial Arts Brewing Company in Garnerville, NY. Both had tasty beers and very different in their own style. We finished up the day having dinner at a new Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood, El Jalapeno Charro in New Windsor, NY. Great day overall, too bad the Yankees lost 8 - 7 in the 12th inning, at least the Mets won for Beth. My least favorite driver Kyle Busch too the checkered flag in yesterday NASCAR race, not a fan of "Rowdy" Busch. Beth and I had a good weekend overall; Saturday, we got a lot of Spring cleaning done and then we barbecued; yesterday started off with going to Mavis Tire which was supposed to only be 4 new tires for the Jeep. Too bad the Yankees lost and couldn't sweep the Red Sox, lets go fellas and concentrate on the Wild Card now. I see that the Jets lost as well, hopefully the Eagles do better against the Colts this Sunday. The NASCAR drivers are in Richmond, VA with racing tonight and tomorrow evening as well. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's back to work Tuesday. We had a great long weekend with friends and family starting with the West Point Oktoberfest on Friday night. Saturday we went to a pig roast and Sunday, Beth and I relaxed on the back patio. Yesterday was another one for the books as we spent it with our dear friends from Fort Eustis, VA cruising the Hudson River on a river boat ride. Sports wise, the Eagles won and the Yankees are rolling along with the Wild Card game scheduled for October 3rd. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys........ :tu

The Yankees came up a little short last night loosing 8 - 7 to the Rays. These two teams will be back at it today for a 1310 (1:10 pm) day game. Good morning everyone, the coffee has been on since 0420 as always and it's Friday! We had another good night at Schlesinger's, the place was hoppin' and top shelf cigars were enjoyed. A big congrats to the Yankees for a 12 - 1 win yesterday, they'll be taking on the Red Sox this weekend in Boston for the final 3 game series of the Regular Season. Beth and I had a relaxing weekend; supported a fund raiser on Saturday and mostly hung around the house yesterday doing yard work and watching football, NASCAR and barbecuing.
