It was good to see the NY Rangers win last night, hope they keep up this winning streak now. The NASCAR season opens tomorrow night with the Sprint Unlimited starting at 2000 (8pm) down in Daytona.

Good morning all, the Killer Beans are kickin' and it's another brisk one out there as it's -2°F with a wind chill of -24°F. I see that the NY Rangers lost last night 5 - 4, hopefully they bounce back tonight with a win as they are only 5 points out of 1st place. Dale Earnhardt Jr. driving the #88 Chevrolet won the first Duel race last night and Jimmie Johnson driving the #48 Chevrolet won the 2nd Duel race. The field is now set for Sunday's Daytona 500 but we have plenty of other racing starting tonight with the Camping World truck series and tomorrow afternoon with the Xfinity series which will be just as exciting. The NY Rangers won Friday evening as well as last night, Joey Logano driving the #22 Shell Penske Ford took the checkered flag in yesterday's Daytona 500 and the weather wasn't bad either considering we got a few inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning. Well, we had a good weekend considering it snowed on Saturday. Barbequed a beer can chicken yesterday that came out great, smoke a number of tasty cigars throughout the weekend and a number of the guys from Hudson Valley Cigars went on a road trip yesterday morning to Florida, NY for a Polish brunch. Congrats to Denny Hamlin for taking the checkered flag yesterday driving the #11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota in NASCAR's STP500. The NY Rangers lost 2 in a row now, hopefully the bounce back tomorrow with a "W" as the playoffs are coming soon and the winning streak needs to get going again. Beth and I had a blast, we visited family, the Baseball Hall of Fame as well as a number of wineries, breweries and distilleries. Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! We had a great time last night at Schlesinger's, the place was packed for the LFD event and all. Congrats to the Yankees as they won 3 - 2. They have 3 more games this weekend with the White Sox, hopefully they can take at least 2 if not all 3. The NASCAR drivers are in New Hampshire this weekend and the Philadelphia Eagles (my team) are taking on the New York Jets (wife's team) this Sunday. West Point is hosting their annual Oktoberfest this weekend as well, Beth and I are planning on being there this afternoon for the official keg tapping and opening ceremonies. A big congrats to the Jets as they beat the Patriots yesterday, just wished the Eagles would have beat to Red Skins and the whole weekend would have been great sports wise. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's a snow / sleet kind of a morning. West Point is "Code White" until 1000 (10am) which means liberal leave is in effect:
West Point Snow Policy (Non-emergency Positions)
"WEST POINT IS CODE WHITE UNTIL (stated time, or, all day)."
The West Point Snow Policy is in effect until the stated time, or all day. Employees, who might be prevented from reporting to work, should be granted annual leave, accrued compensatory time or LWOP if they prefer. Employees still need to contact their supervisor for approval. Specific procedures for requesting leave in these circumstances are at the discretion of each activity.

"WEST POINT IS CODE RED UNTIL (slated time)"
Employees should not report until the announcement time. Supervisors will excuse absences without charge to leave for all employees affected whether or not leave was previously approved. Employees who do not report for work by the announced time will be charged leave for the remainder of their absence if it was properly requested and approved.

"WEST POINT IS CODE RED ALL DAY."
Only employees in emergency positions should report to work. Employees in non-emergency positions should not report to work until their next regularly scheduled workday.

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's "Hump Day". It's the day before New Year's Eve, time to get ready for the big night.
