Been watching a lot of recent movies lately.

The Watch...I guess I realized all over again that Ben Stiller is not funny. Always seems to assemble
an ensemble cast to PROVE he is not funny.
Silver Linings Playbook.....good combination of forces meeting in the middle to a great
result...except the end which seems forced.
Detachment........Damn fine movie, a little off-putting and again, and even annoying at one plot point.
Many more but my memory is fading.

Last night we got to see a free screening of 'A Good Day to Die Hard' which opens in theaters today. Classic Bruce Willis/Die Hard movie of non-stop action, so much that I had trouble finding a slow moment to get the popcorn refilled! Definitely worth seeing!

Streamed 'Cool Hand Luke' on Netflix. Very good, but took a long time to get going. Kept thinking that if this was McQueen instead of Newman and the prison was a POW camp in Nazi Germany, this would have been a much more entertaining movie.

Bad Boys. I remember this as being much funnier. Not quite a waste of time, but close. Lot of potential, but the writer and director didn't get very much out of Smith and Lawrence. Felt like they were hand-cuffed throughout.

I just got DVDs of Argo and Skyfall, but haven't watched either yet. The last I saw was that second Ghost Rider flick with Nick Cage, Hero For Hire, Cheap. :D

It was not as bad as I was led to believe, but I like this sort of crap.

Speaking of which, the NEXT movie I'll watch is another DVD I just received today, an old cult classic called A Boy And His Dog, based on a Harlan Ellison story and starring a young Don Johnson. It's a great date movie! :r

Zero Dark Thirty was one of the best I've seen in last 10 years. Love the choppers gliding Stealth mode over the dark mountains and desert, seeing thru night vision goggles.
