Spectre. Theme song is a leader for this years Razzie and it didn't get much better from there. 242 minutes of ho-hum with very little cool Q gadgetry, only one chase with a Q modified car, but it did have several lovely explosions to keep most people from nodding off to deeply.

Tried to rewatch Heathers after many, many years. It hasn't aged well, I'm afraid. Or, maybe I'm the one with the age....What was dark and funny 15 years ago is now just tired and tries too hard. Besides, as much as I like Winona, I dislike Christian Slater even more.

I watched the Empire Strikes Back last night. I really hope they don't screw up the new movies. From what i've seen I think they will be good. I hope it's not just all eye candy.....
And oh dear god.....I saw the trailer for the "new" Point Break............I guess when people say Hollywood is out of ideas, they are spot on.

Charles Grodin and Robert Deniro surrounded by an excellent cast of players make this bounty hunter and his captured prisoner vs the mob and the FBI an absolute joy to watch. If you haven't seen it you've missed a gem. If you have seen it then it is worth watching it again.

That's a fun one when I'm in the mood for an insanely over-the-top action flick. You know what you're in for about four minutes into the movie when Clive Owen shoots the umbilical cord after the girl gives birth in the gun fight. Great action. Gives great sense of the fog of war and incredible challenges of sorting out friend from foe from noncombatant in asymmetric battle. Unfortunately, it was also challenging as a viewer to learn enough about any of the characters to distinguish any one from any other throughout the film (except maybe the CIA chief and the Ambassador.) That place was a mess and the film certainly does a good job of making you feel that.

This was much better than the first.... No handycam shots and the acting was really good... Nice to see John Goodman is still working... It was like Gone Girl in the way the story developed, as soon as you thought you had it figured out the storyline totally went in a different direction.

Finally watched Straight Outta Compton last night.
Last week I watched The Night Before.
I am not a big movie watcher, takes me forever to see things I want to see.. For me to watch 2 movies in 2 weeks... Crazy things are going to happen.
Fight Club - First time in a lot of years. Disappointing, however. To me, its like Little Miss Sunshine -- the movies are great, largely because of one big 'reveal'. Once I know the spoiler, the movies just don't grab me anywhere near they did the first time around. On the other hand, there's some that stay great even when you know the twist, such as Planet of the Apes, Chinatown or Usual Suspects. Anyway, I was sad to find that watching Fight Club was not nearly as enjoyable as it was all those years ago.

Man.....what???!!!!! I love re-watching Fight Club, because of the reveal.....
*SPOILER*
Tyler Durdin doesn't exist or they are one in the same
To see him do all that stuff, and to know he's not there really messes with me......praise David Fincher

I agree. Neil, it's worth seeing but not on a plane. It needs a larger screen to really appreciate it. IMNSHO, though, it could use some editing; it's probably about 15 minutes longer than it needs to be.
