Saw it last night James, thought it was excellent mindless fun with some real cringe worthy kills, way to go for realism as it takes him slamming the the hilt of the sword 3 times to finally get it through a skull :lr
It's a relatively cheap movie to produce, had a pretty good cult following, Reeves is the in actor right now, and they make a ton of cash, I look forward to the next one.

Yeah, they set it up quite well for the next one. My wife and I adore dogs so the fight sequences with Halle Berry and the Belgian Malamois were just awesome.

Green Room. I only heard about this because Patrick Stewart is in it as the leader of a bunch of neo-Nazis. Yes, you read that correctly. :) It's a nasty little thriller that I quite enjoyed. For some reason it's billed as a horror movie, but it's really not.
Without spoiling anything it's about a punk band stuck performing for a bunch of skinheads who get in over their heads when one of them sees something they shouldn't. I recommend it.

Recent watches over the last week:
The Lost Daughter- Olivia Colman was fantastic as always here
Rear Window- rewatch and it’s still one of the best. Jimmy and Grace are magical
A Face in the Crowd- Andy Griffith’s debut is pretty damn good
Wildlife- Paul Dano’s debut as a director. Highly recommend this; tremendous acting

Huge PTA fan here. This is my least favorite of his, way too loose. Painfully loose for me. The age gap in the movie is unnecessary and super weird as well. Couldn’t get past that either. I was so pumped to see this on the big screen and I can’t remember a bigger let down. Maybe Once Upon A Time in Hollywood comes close. Always interested to hear people’s thoughts on this one!

I love the smell of anti-matter in the morning.
The estimated cost of antimatter in the real world today is estimated to be about 63 trillion USD per gram. If we then take the average weight of the mass of asteroids, that would yield about 3 * 10^21 kg, or 3*10^24 g about 4% of the moon’s mass.

First time i think i have ever watched this entire movie at least in 30 years ... 42 years old and way ahead of it's time
"What you've just witnessed is, in many ways, a life-sized video game. You saw a liar talk to a killer and you couldn't tell them apart. But hey, it's only television. As you may know, television programs are just the filler between attempts to steal your money. So if you want to save some, turn me off. It's a simple movement, done with the hand and what is left of your free will. The moment is now. My bet is you can't do it. But go ahead and try."

Michael Jai White wrote the screen play and was the man behind the movie i'm thinking the stage direction was actually just him being the director during the scenes :lr He has had a great career and is still active and in a ton of things and has studied a bunch of different martial arts.
Now i've moved on to the classic blaxploitation movies, tonight I'm watching Dolomite ... wow so bad :lr

I wasted some of my life watching The Curse if the Pink Panther. First time in a very long time that when i got up i didn’t bother to pause a movie.
It’s interesting because to me Sellers wasn’t the main attraction, star billing yes but Herbert Lom was the the draw to me, after watching this movie it just goes to show you that without Sellers it was garbage.
