Nice pick-up mac and everyone else. I love the 3000's with some good age on them.
What Mac making a purchase for something other than a maduro??? WTF?? Grabbed some Famous Nic 3000s to go down for a long nap. I just ordered these yesterday around 11:30 and they arrived today. WOW talk about lightning fast delivery!!! And the best thing...snagged these on the Monster for $ 1.85 a stick and free shipping!! :tu These are some mighty tasty sticks with some age on them. :tu

They're great even off the truck! lol. Those are my everyday putz around favorites. I smoked one today as a matter of fact. I haven't aged any yet... but I will once I have a coolidor and some cash lol.
You really rest 'em for a year?

Mac, if you haven't tried the Famous Nic 5000's
yet, do yourself a favor & grab a bundle. :tu
These come on the Monster fairly often, as well.
Personally, I prefer them to the 3000's.

Nice job on 3000 bundle from the monster. I am on a purchasing moratorium, otherwise I'd own them too. I haven't heard much talk about them on this board, but the 6000's are some bad ass smokes.... rich and flavorful and draw and burn perfectly. Famous really has come through with awesome house blends IMO.

So just finished up bowling and went to a local B&M that happened to be closing. They had some smoking deals in there to clear out their inventory. Most of my favorite smokes were already gone but I found a few to try. I think I found some good ones. :xxx
Has anyone ever tried the Partagas 160? They were 50% off so I decided to give them a shot. Everything else in the picture was either 15, 20 or 30% off.

Yes they are the same. As for the worth of the box, not really worth anything unless someone wants one for a specific purpose, then usually a trade for a few sticks or buyers pays shipping. Best case, you might get 5 or 10 bucks...

Lots of Oliva love I see!! :tuTried a G for the first time and loved it so had to order some more. The V sampler was something I liked the look of but probably never would have bought - thanks to jonumberone I've got lots of chances to see how much I like the blend.
Funny how this works though - all these different cigars should mean that my "want to buy" list is now shorter. But the exact opposite is true. The more different cigars I try the more I want to stock.

Le Bijou's look good. Picked up a box recently at Schwab's, in Lexington, KY. Found a box (23 of 25) today of sun-grown Montesino beli's today, at Bean & Briar in Clarksville, TN. I love SG wrappers, and these have supposedly moved into the HTF category.
Looking forward to seeing what my local B&M brings back from New Orleans next week.

If I could give any advice from what I've learned this past week it's these few things,
#1 Buy a shorter size: Not everyone your gifting a cigar is going to be a smoker, and likewise, it's always easier to give someone a second cigar than to watch half or 3/4's of the cigar go to waste.
#2 If your going to gift them to your guests as a wedding favor, make sure you bring a backup gift for those that prefer not to take the cigar: I had a couple of people decline the cigars, luckily since the men and women got different favors those men left with something.
#3 Buy something memorable: It doesn't have to be expensive, but buy something that you're going to enjoy; because that's the cigar you're always going to remember for a lifetime. Plus, when you do smoke that cigar in the future, you can always remind your wife for brownie points.
My shipment came in today. Sorry for the craptastic photo :(

Me to Jim. I had Don Francisco do a rolling for me. Big hit!! 30+ outside. Guess it was my first herf, come to think of it.
Congrats Bro:tu
That's awesome!! I would love to do something like that, but I don't know if that's going to happen right now. :r
Great pointers...especially the last one. :r
BTW...here's my latest and greatest...La Verite and L'esprit de Verite.

How are those Brent? Heard good things about... anything like the CC Pepin?
I dont think so, because of the 3 pepin blacks I have had, I did not like any of them very much. Personally, I think they are closer to a San Cristobal (once they have some age on them).
I am speaking of the Maduro.
I believe the Natural Old Henry is better than the Pepin black too. Better flavors, IMO. The Black (Pepin CC) just does not do it for me.

Got plenty of all the new sun grown series. I believe there is a sun grown signature and hemmingway series as well as the 8-5-8.

Dom, my girls place finally started carrying them. I smoked the brazil wrapped torpedo last night. Thought it was good. Mild/medium. Figured I'd give the others a shot.
Interesting. I've heard a lot of bad things about the "Olor" leaf
in particular... Maybe everything you hear isn't true! Great pickups

Those 500 maduros are good. I have 3/4 of a bundle sitting in my cab. They make great winter time smokes. Plus when the cold gets to be too much to bear if you pitch it early no need to feel guilty.

The Devil's weed are pretty good, especially for the price. I would get them now as I had won some robustos on cbid and later got a notice that they had run out and would not be getting more. I got the 'nicot' instead. Not bad for a $1.05 a stick
OHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!!!
Those are my favorites...I wish I had known. :(

I was a non believer until my lady got one for me. I wouldn't call it a smoke eater but it magically rids the room of the smell. Impressive, really.
I'm not a promoter in anyway, shape or form and rarely would I stand behind something unless I really do think it would benefit my fellow Brothers.

I've never bought them before, I read people around here like to put about a year or more on them before they even break open the pack, but I'll probably smoke one now, another in a few months, another in a few more months, and probably the rest sometime next year :r

It's a never ending work in Progress. Many times it seemed within reach and then, hasta luego kid, maybe next time. The funny thing is, I got my cousin into cigars. He started going to a local shop. They had a Liga event. :tu He got as many Flying Pigs as he wanted, not knowing anything about the rarity or really anything about what he was smokin. He tells me all about it. I drool. :dr He says they are all gone but would love to split a box with me next time they come in!!!
