Here's another purchase I shouldn't have made.

Tony, try and let a couple of these rest at least a year if you can resist as I just recently smoked one from '08 and the thing was one of the most amazing cigars I ever smoked. No exaggeration. Nice score by the way and make sure you intercept those cc statements.:r

In order to fit them in my humidor they had to be buried deep so I would be lucky to ever see them again! :r

I do have a couple of singles that have been aging for about 6 months so I look forward to smoking those next fall.

Nice grabs Frank. What is that Viaje?

Those are the new Reserva Viaje line. They come boxed pressed for the oro and platino. The oro is definitely something worth trying but the platino, I would pass on. They run for about 10 a stick, your typical price for Viajes. Hope that helps. LMK if you need any.

Lol that's odd because from what I have been told as well as my own experience that the oro is more of a full body smoke while the platino is on the medium side. But, hey we both have different taste buds.

Didn't think much of the reserva platino, thought it was almost like sucking on air. The first couple inches were good but after that, it became boring.

The only thing is they are box dated Feb 2010. I don't think I have ever smoked a cigar so fresh. I have put them in the humidor and hope I can keep my hands off of them for at least a month but I would like to wait until next year...

Although knowing me, I will probably yank a few out for the Epic Herf III Pre-Herf III on April 11th. :D

Me either! Lol. A friend told me that there was a good deal on some Romeo's so I hit it up. They have Connecticut wrappers and Dominican filler. Rolled by level 7 master craftsmen, which i thought was great. Smoked one last night. Kinda Mild flavor, but that is romeo, but it was real smooth and burned very well. A good couple sticks for the price for sure.

Nice score Mac!!!

What are fumadores........just sounds like a weird way to describe a cigar....

Made my Don Pepin and described as a sandwhich cigar. Right out of Holt's add...

"Our main man Pepin Garcia is a flat out stud. His brilliant style of blending has the cigar world awestruck! Pepin is currently gaining mass acclaim for his illustrious top-shelf cigars; however, his newest creation is a no-nonsense, mind-blowing value! The brand new Fumadores are handmade in Nicaragua and come in 3 fabulous sizes. Oily clay-colored Ecuadorian wrappers hug a scrumptious blend of Nicaraguan Corojo, Criollo and Habano seed tobaccos. The Holt's Tasting Committee has gone totally bonkers over these cigars. In fact, we think these gems could be the finest cigars for the money in the entire industry! They're constructed sandwich style, yet burn and taste like 100% premium long-filler. It's remarkable. When you first fire up one of these bad boys your tongue is immediately met with a barrage of spices. As you continue to puff, your nose and mouth get furnished with an earthy aroma accented by wholesome hints of oak, apricot and cayenne pepper. Overall these cigars are medium to full-bodied with a rich, hearty finish. Pepin is currently making a plethora of fine cigars, but when it comes to value our Fumadores are unbeatable!

Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Strength: Medium to Full
Wrapper: Ecuadorian
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Corojo, Criollo, Habano"

These are on sale all sizes until March 29th for $ 29.9.

Petite cabaiguans are good. But if they are good now, smoke the **** out of them, cuz they will quickly get out of their prime and you'll be waiting a few months before they are ready to devour again. I've been sitting on a bunch for a while, cuz they only come around every so often.

Man, I am fully jealous of you Kevin. If my wife came home with a haul like that I would probably be waking up to the alarm clock shortly there after as that would only happen in a fantasy or it would need to be followed up wit the question, "OK, what did you do?" :D

Just got back from picking up my new Edgestar from Shilala and stopped by my hometown to the best candy store in America, Gardners Candy. My sister is the general manager (so $ 75.00 worth of goodies later and that is with using her discount). Ran across some new sticks...the El Bronco and the Wild Tiger. Gonna let these rest a bit before I give 'em a try. :r :r :r

It was due to a 10% off deal added to a buyer's club discount I have (so it came out to 20% off).

I tell ya, $50 a year for Tampa Humidor's buyer's club has saved me a ton of money! Whenever they have sales they add your 10% on top of them.

LOL, true!

I only made the purchase I did because I had some cash in hand and they were crazy cheap. All of my other money went to paying off my credit cards which I hit hard over the last 3 months.

I currently have an agreement to do some work in exchange for cigars so I may get another box or 2 but I have to at least cut my stock down as well as pay back my credit cards before making any real box purchases...

The firecrackers are on my short list of boxes to buy though.

Tatuaje Regios Reserva

That isn't an easy score. You're finding a lot a nonexistent boxes with stuff like these and ECCJ's. You either have no life outside of acquiring cigars...or good contacts. :tu

Box (bundle actually) of Gran Habano 3 Siglos Churchills. These are the last remaining 3 Sgilos due to a trademark dispute. Not a bad deal for $44.99 for 20 from CI.

Just a bit of good luck and a local B&M with a humidor so stocked things get lost in the shuffle. ;)

Tripp,

Ask your buddy Pete to "Hook U Up!":r

I'm pretty sure its to mimic the Cuban ribbon, but I'm not really sure if its supposed to mean some

Also, I love the Regios too, but don't smoke them often enough. Never had the Reserva version.

I had a similar find with the black tin of 3 Chateau Fuente's. Just sitting there in the back of the walk-in, they had been there so long, the B&M said they had removed them from inventory as either stolen or misplaced! haha

Great finds and buys folks!

I've been very pleased with the couple I've smoked. Starts off with a lot of pepper, but then quickly changed to an earthy, leathery taste with hints of coffee. The thing I liked the most was that it never, NEVER burned incorrectly. It drives me nuts when a cigar has to be relit or constantly needs touch-ups...and I can say I've never had to touch these things. :tu

I saw them pop up on the devil site quite a bit, so I figured a box couldn't hurt. :D

I sold my last 3 PMM's and rolled the cash into some new "holy grail" sticks (3 sticks turned into 9). Those were part of what I received. I think these are from the box that I had bid on last summer at the benefit herf at Uptown. No idea when I'll smoke one...but I'm glad I've got two. ;)

Padron Millennium Maduro. 1000 humidors containing 100 sticks each were produced & released in 2000(?) I believe. Thought by some Padron aficionados to be the ultimate Padron. Street prices hover around the $50 - $60 per stick area. I was fortunate to acquire 5 PMM's last October. Today...the tobacco used in the cigars would be about 15 years old. They're good...though I still have yet to experience sexual bliss from smoking any cigar at this price point. :r

Since I am down to maybe 888 cigars in my ready state for the NFL Draft, could not resist the best price for a Don Pepin Garcia Top 25 sampler -- 15 cigars for $44.95 from cigar.com
And had to add a couple of Oliva Serie V samplers to mellow out the package.
