Its good stuff Jake, and it has a couple plus yrs of age on it at this time. Spicy, sweet, gets better at the 1/2 way mark, and depending how fast you puff will determine tongue bite. For me, tongue bite is minimal at best. Easy baccy to keep burning. Nice aroma. A smidge maybe of vitamin N. I really wanted another bowl, but had to get my rear-end in gear for work:D

In our last trade, didn't I send you some Peretti's Cuban blend?

Really good. It's defanitly a VaPer with the Perique spice balanced by the Va sweetness but it's tuned down a bit meaning that it has the flavor of fuller blends like Bayou Morning but not the body. Also there is a complexity like herbs/olives that was there around the 2nd 3rd:tu

This morning: some H&H Virginia Spice in the Boswell Poker Freehand. Smokey, spicy, and medium finish with more spice. Burns really nice with just a couple of relights. A good baccy:dr

A little more Perique yes. Not sure what effect the Black Cavendish has in the blend.
I may end up just haveing to keep some of each around - that's how I usually resolve these issues :)

Mac Baren 7 Seas Regular Blend. First time with this blend!

I opened the pouch and the scent was like :dr :noon but the tobacco was extra-moist.
I expected a strong aromatization, but instead it was (IMHO) mild.

BTW looking forward to smoke it again :)

Solani Virginia Flake w/Perique in a 7/8" new Kaywoodie Relief Grain forum pipe. This is my first dash with the SVF+P - excellent quality, gentle perique, sour/lemon virginia. Very, very nice. Pipe smokes great but anything lined usually tastes a little bad to me the first few bowls. It shall pass. This pipe will definitely stay with virgina- and vaper tobaccos. It's a pip!

Popped a tin of 2010 Haddos Delight, Jared it,
Then smoked a big cool bowl in my Peterson. I love this stuff its nice n fruity at the start,
and builds to a smooth peppery perique n burley profile.
30min bowl time 0 bite and a solid 9 for me. :noon

...this is great stuff! I missed the GB on PSF and made a direct call to Chris @ C&D. He happily made a pound up for me and shipped it out about 4 weeks later once it was done sitting in the press. When the next GB comes around again, I think I'll be getting in on 2 lbs. Its delicious and I could just smoke that stuff all day!

Dunno if there is a great variation in quality between the cheaper stuff and the more expensive stuff, but the cheaper stuff has not really "tasted" like much of anything or quite artificial.

I really like this blend, it has a light hand of Latikia that complements the rum topping and the dark fired Ky gives it that stout kick that let's you know it's there.
On a side note, strong tobacco has always settled my stomach and this is doing the job after a late night trip to a local brick fired pizza joint!

I quit smoking cigars & pipes for several years but I always took care of the tobacco I had left. :D I have seen tins of this age on fleabay go around $100 give or take, but I'm not paying that much for it...for now at least...at least until I see how good or not good the new Nightcap is. I bought a sleeve of the new stuff so I can nurse what I have remaining of the old.

There's something slightly different in the blend (as far as English goes) that I couldn't quite put my finger on...but it was enjoyable.

It's some strong stuff Mark. C&D have now made it as a regular blend but it's called 5 o'clock shadow I think. It really DTG's well though.

I really enjoy the flavors of this blend, and as you know, sometimes we unknowingly get involved in taking "too many puffs" in a short period of time due to those delicious flavors.

C&D Burley Flake #3. Some of the strongest and nuanced tobacco I have smoked. It's the only tobacco (cigar included) that will give me the spins if I don't take it slow.

Hearth & Home El Nino was the blend that Russ at P&C made for the 2013 West Coast Pipe Show. I was able to get a couple tins before it was listed on the site for sale...it is now listed for sale since they changed & updated their site. EASIEST way to find it is just search the name El Nino.
