Some pictures of south western Alberta Canada. It has been hovering around -30c for the last couple of weeks. The picture of the mist coming off of the river was taken during this time. That river hardly ever freezes over..Can't wait for spring!

Technology today is so wonderful.
When I took these shots, we used a medium format (Hasselblad) and all manual, not automation whatsoever.

Forgot to clean the scanner of dust.

Some interesting Dead things found around the house. In the egg is a common house gecko that didn't make it. I found the egg in a lawn chair along with 5 other empty eggs. The scorpion I found in North Carolina tangled in the basement carpet.

Thanks!!! Coming from a fellow photog it means alot. Exposure time was like 5 second (or maybe more) drop that ISO down to 100 too. Of course the Aperature was WIDE open. I've got more. I'll post 'em soon.

A great smoking spot sitting on the AR River. "The Big Dam Bridge". You can see the two large areas in the middle that have benches. And its a good walk getting to them. I think the bridge is over 4000ft long. Couldnt figure out how to get a good bright shot of the bridge without blowing the overhead lights out. Whoops haha

I got that one refurbed from adorama.com and it hasnt came off my camera since the day it arrived. Its a bit cheaper refurb, but in talking to all the photogs i know, its done by nikon and in mint shape. I've had absolutlely zero issues out of mine.

I have a couple $800+ lens, I am currently saving for a Canon 300mm 2.8L IS, around $4500

Glass is the best investment you can make in your photography. Save money on your body and spend on your glass!
