Opus X - it's amazing how these things can feel hard as a rock - you cut em and it looks like there is no way you are going to get a decent draw and they smoke perfectly....great flavor out of this sucker.

My son and I went to the local pub to enjoy a nice smoke yesterday afternoon. We each had a Tatuaje Havana VI Corona Gordo. Leather, spice, coffee was the prredominate flavors but I also got a black cherry flavor bomb about five or six times that was fantastic. The PSD4 I had later in the evening paled by comparison. This is truly a great cigar.

I had a CAO Brazilla Pirhana. It was great for the 1st 1/3 then I got stuffted up and lot all smell. I finished it off though. I couldnt tast it... but I know I liked it.

Today on the lake I had:
CAO Soprano associate. Very nice smoke. Nothing near the "Full" they describe it as, but I had already heard that from everyone. Very enjoyable, smooth, very flavorful. Hints of wood, nutmeg a little cinnimon. I liked this one.
Also I had my first DPG JJ. VERY loose draw. Dry on the mouth and throat. Pretty nice flavors but lots of problems with this one. A large piece of wrapper flaked off at the head. I had to do a semi-Deepthroat to not draw loose air, in addition to the already super loose draw. The outer wrapper wanted to come unwrapped and a few cracks formed.
This one must have had some bad storage before I received it. I have had it in my humidor for 6 weeks. Good enough flavors that I will try another one when given the chance. I have a JJ maduro just waiting to be toasted. Cant wait.

Gurkha Double Maduro Torpedo, out on the back patio this afternoon. Sunny day with temps in the 70s made for a pleasant smoke. It started out slightly harsh but mellowed out after the first inch and remained so for the duration.

Alec Bradley Tempus (corona). Pretty good, full flavored. Started out very nice. Had some spice and good wood/herbal flavors in the first 1/3. The second 1/3 gave me some burn issues and wanted to go out. The final 1/3 was just ok. I was expecting a little more from a $7+ smoke.
I will let the others rest longer. Maybe they will be better.

After dropping off the wife at work, I traveled over to Valencia News and Cigars and selected a Padilla Series 68 Robusto. It has the little security band on it indicating "corojo 05 0714." A very nice smoke and one I think will only get better with age in a humi:tu:ss
