Started yesterday's long drive in the Herf Bus with a lovely Escencia Robusto.... oh oh oh, that is a really nice smoke! Dark, leathery, spicy, flowery hints in the first third, buttery middle, peppery end. Fabulosa!

Edit. It is actually the Belicoso, but in the sampler they call it a double robusto. I knew that didn't sound right because it has the tapered tip like a torpedo.

Just finished a FP Habano 98 Robusto 5x50. This is a house brand made for FullersPullers.com in Miami's 'Little Havana'. Mild to Medium at the start turning medium body at the half-way mark to end. A very nice morning smoke with a cup of joe:tu:ss

a 2000 Bolivar CE. Is it just me, or do a lot of Bolivar CE have draw problems. The past 4 ive smoked have had issues. Dont get me wrong, they tasted amazing. But the experience could have been better without the draw problems. Ill buy a few more CE's before i make a final thought on buying a box.:ss

Try dry boxing them for a few days before smoking them. :2

I took one out of the humi that morning, and smoked it later that afternoon. It was out for about 7 to 8 hours. Ill let it sit longer next time.

Pulled out a 2 year old Trinidad (Dominican) Robusto tonight.
WOW! Did this guy ever smooth out! Excellent flavors of earthy coffee & smooth creamy toffee throughout, ramping up in strength the last 1".
Total smokin time: 1 hour & 40 minutes.:)

Taboo LR Maddie. Rob suggested I compare it to the Reserva MiraFlor. Also a very good cigar, very aromatic and well constructed- the taste was not as "good" to me as the Miraflor, so I gave it an A-.

Well, I started off smoking a Topper Old Fashioned Extra Oscuro Ebony 5.5x47 and after a good 1 1/2 inches, just had to lay the poor soul down to die:confused: Just finished an El Credito Rothschild 5x50 Natural and what a fine inexpensive cigar from the Dominican Republic. A solid medium body smoke that went well with a cup of joe:ss

I just finished a La Aroma de Cuba. Not a bad flavor profile, but it kept canoing. It was driving me crazy so I just tossed it.

I have tried the Connecticut and the Cameroon, not real impressed. The Habano was somewhat underwhelming, but better than the other two. I really like the Olivia brand, but this series is a miss for me,


Today was pretty good. I started off with a Siglo III, then moved on to a RG Corona, and finished off with a ...... Nub Connecticut. My first nub and could be my last.

Oliva G torpedo. Lovely dark wrapper with glistening specks of oils. Started out super smooth. About the halfway point I noticed some bitterness I rarely associate with these cigars. Look down and see black ooz coming from the head. First time I've ever seen tar like this in person. Luckily a couple snips of the Palio seems to have alleviated most of it. Man these are a nice cigar.

I had a surprising Henry Clay cigar. It was part of a ten cigar pack which sat in my coolador for a little over a year. Nice Medium to Full flavor cigar. It was a perfect end to a great day. :ss

Couldn't smoke in the woods while hunting so I just chewed on a LFDC Selecto. Tip- chew on the foot and not the head cause the short filler just falls apart.:ss

I went for a hike in the woods today with a Miami LGC Wavell maduro. They have about eight months on them and are a top notch smoke. They start out a bit harsh for the first five or six puffs but then they get better all the way through. Great value. I have always like these.

When I got home from church today it was 65º without wind on the deck, in Colorado, in November. It felt like 75º. I ceLebrated with a Gran Habano Connecticut and a couple of cups of coffee. Mrs Brew was soaking the rays. It was sublime. That was one of the best connies I've had yet.

Padilla Achilles Salamones and a Cabiguan Guapo. I actually liked the Padilla more, quite different from the Robusto size. Great subtle flavors, a monster smoke. :ss

Drove to Gallup NM from Colorado Springs today. When I arrived I smoked a FG Tres Capas and a Macanudo 1968. The Tres Capas was medium bodied, grassy and slightly sweet. The Mac was tasty, nice body, nice burn, delicious flavor.

A 2000 Romeo Churchill that was either plugged or dry inside, so I pitched it. Then I tried a 2000-something Parti Lusitania that was a real pain to keep going. I think it was also dry inside.

So I'm a little :fl right now.
