Padron 1926 #9 maduro. The box came in yesterday and sat outside in my yard for a day since I wasn't home last night. Instead of doing the right thing and letting them "settle in" in the humi for a few days, I was way too impatient and lit one up immediately.

WOW, this has to be the best #9 maduro, I've ever smoked and I've smoked a significant number of 1926s over the years.

Anyone else notice that the 1926s are better than average lately?

Had a Carlos Torano Signature robusto after lunch at excellent Thai place Wild Orchid in Tacoma. Walking up 6th Ave. after I lit the cigar. Saw woman from my old job and stopped to talk for 10 minutes. Just held the cigar, not wanting to gross her out with smoke. And the dang cigar burned like a cigarette - stayed lit and consumed about half an inch. Weird.
Had one of my favorite smokes after sushi dinner tonight -- a Perdomo Habano toro in the corojo wrapper. Good but the maduro is better.

Had a great 2x cigar day for the first time in a while. Had a Monte #1. My first monte and it was very nice. Had a few problems with this in the humi. Somehow it got decapitated meaning the wrapper cap came off completely. Still a little pectin and a few days rest and it came out ready to fight. Cut it with a v-cutter to avoid a second full decapitation. Smoked beautifully had lovely flavor only thing was that it had minimal "twang". There was a hint there but didn't have that ... I normally associate with cubans. I also had a Litto Gomez. Damn I love these smokes. One of my favorite go to smokes. Usually avoid these later in the evening because the vitamin N can keep me up but I couldn't help myself tonight. Was drinking a local brew called ale asylum hopalicious with the monte and guiness with the litto. Was watching my Golden Gopher Hockey team wreak havok on the local Wi. Badgers while multitasking and watching the OSU v. Penn State game and the world series. All in all a very pleasant evening. Glad I have a place where I can share with people who will appreciate the experience. Cheers and good night.

I am currently smoking a RP Edge Maduro. This is one of the best RP cigars in my opinion. The Sumatra Edge, and the Vitage 92 are the only other RP blends that are in the same league IMO.

Loaded the traveldor with many to have and give away at last night's outdoor cooking competition/dinner party/herf thing, but saved these nice ones for myself to try in succession: Macanudo 1968, DC Maximus #3 , and a nice Tat... something... crs kicking in about now...

Anyhow, I kept lighting and giving away freshly lit sticks so often I was down to the 1968 by 9pm but it kept me busy for close to two hours! Very nice smoke!
