Yep. Played about 45 minutes of Duke this morning after it unlocked. Some cute stuff there, which I appreciate. I'm sick to death of games with no sense of humor (take that as an implied request for recommendations ;) ).

If you haven't playe dthe serious sam series - do that first.

Portal 2 had me rolling in laughter.

I demo'ed SS and just didn't like it that much. A bit too much zerg rush for me.

I'm stuck in Portal 2 (one of those blue goo levels.) I could probably go find the solution someplace, but I've got way too much going on in gaming to care much.

"I've come up with a solution to our dilema that I honestly think works best for one of both of us."

"We've both said some things you're going to regret."

GLaDOS FTW! :-)

On a slightly different note, I'm starting to warm up to Brink. The challenge missions as "role" tutors are really solid. The CoD:BO single-player campaign is amazingly tedious. (currently at the vietnam stage.)

I've really got to get the machine shop set up so I can tear myself away from this stuff.

But it does seem a little... I dunno... too much and not enough. We'll see.

Decided to re-up on EvE after a while. Boy has THAT changed!

It's worth a play through....parts of it had me :r ....but only parts....

The problem of course is the 12 year wait and A LOT of expectations but they could have at least given more than 8 hours of single player. Some say it's 15, I say that's if you're looking to do everything the first time around.

Anyone have thoughts on the Wii-U?
I've always been a Nintendo fanboy, but this new system looks like they pretty much dropped the ball. I mean it looks cool and all, but how do you demo a new system without any real games for the hardcore gamer? At least show us a new Mario game for it. All i've seen being played is golf, some pirate game that was geared for 6yr olds, and some board games.

I'm on the fence about it. I'll probably buy it, third party support looks better, better hardware, etc. It's that controller, I dunno how I feel about that.

Well its not really worth it then. The fun of it really comes from the multiplayer as it is still so well balanced. And with the game being out for so long before it went free you have a mix of people who are really good, ad a lot who aren't, so it's a little easier to break in to it now. And you honestly should try it multi at least once, the TF2 community isn't really kiddies, it's nothing like COD and the like.

I only play online with friends.
A video game can't keep my attention without friends.
I have my settings so I can't hear anybody that is not on my friends list, this makes it a very enjoyable experience. You don't have to listen to the screaming and whinning.

See I don't have friends who are gamers. I'm entirely solo PvE, with as much crafting as I can manage. Currently I'm a Rift crackhead, though with The Game That Must Not Be Named having just opened up as free to play up to L20, I'll probably go play over there for a bit.

Rift is pretty good. I just don't know if I really play it enough to make it worth while (played about 3 days out of my 7 day trial)

WoW is the devil's game. But if you are playing solo PvE it shouldn't eat you away. It is when you start high end PVP or raiding that it becomes a time suck.

I finished this game up last night...apparently I raged out on the very last level :r. Was fun and a good change of pace from my normal style of game.

Tonight I will try and finish up God of War 2. I was too tired to beat the reflex game a few nights ago.

I also need to start up God of War 3, The Witcher 1 & The Witcher 2, and Sanctum...in addition to the DLC for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood :r

Stupid work getting in the way of my video gaming...

I'm really digging Rift. Just tagged 41. The class system is spectacular since you can essentially change at will with 8 sub-classes per main category.

WoW I haven't played in the better part of a year. I haven't maxed out and started raiding. Got a couple toons in the mid 50s. *shrug* I end up spending more time running around with a pickaxe than actually killing stuff.

Minecraft is a special kind of life suck too. The 1.8 this fall is going to be quite something.

Then of course there's the grand daddy of all awesome online time sucks.

EvE.

We don't talk about EvE.

HAHAH. I loved WoW and EVE for a while. Both are like having 2nd jobs now. I've been sampling the F2P stuff. DDO, AVA and World of Tanks. In addition to the time putting into Minecraft multiplayer and StarCraft 2.

Season 3 of StarCraft starting soon. Need to play more 1v1 and get gold this round. =)

DDO makes me want to poke my eyes out. But that's just my Soloitis.

Global Agenda is a solid F2P, as are a couple of the other ones that just were pushed out with Steam.

I'm interested to see what happens when Fallen Earth goes F2P in a couple months. The graphics were so unbelievably choppy it was tough to stick with. Interesting play model though.

I never played EvE. But I played the HELL out of the original Everquest and it's 7 expansions.

I finished up God of War 2 last night and started in on The Witcher 1. These controls are going to take some getting used to. Space pauses the game to let me issue commands and there is no jump. I keep accidently pausing the game because I'm used to jumping like a maniac :r

Yep. EverCrack. back when the player market was the tunnel between east west commons on Sundays at 1:00 EST.

I remember running from Qeynos to Freeport with a L6 rogue (since I FINALLY had hide & sneak) through Gorge and Eye.

SoW is for wimps.

We used to have GM led raids from nektulos into freeport. Half the time when we hit the zone boundry we'd take down the server.

I secretly want Anarchy Online to hurry up with that engine upgrade.

The memory that sticks with me the most about EQ is Southpaw. That is when I learned that one mob will, in fact, pull other mobs. Those trains were truly epic :r

We had one guy that ran our economy. I mean really - he RAN that economy. He was a really smart and funny guy, too. I don't think I ever saw him anywhere except for Torch #3 in EC. I still remember his character name - Beardo. If you inspected him his character description said "Yay for Diablo-esque economies".

Did you ever do any raiding? Old school plane of fear was hilariously bad. I lost my corpse for a week because of all the crap that was at the zone line...couldn't go in and loot! Hooray for alts :)

Also - taking a bard/rogue at an absurdly low level into Lower Guk to get the mask of deception since they always just rotted. Lots of deaths involved in getting that item. Lots.

Ah, Fippy Darkpaw and the Southpaw zone. Qeynos will forever be THE beginning memory of my MMO world type experience. When EQ2 came out and I played it for a little while (didn't last long) running through Qeynos' streets was possibly the most nostalgic gaming experience I've ever had.

Beardo, that sounds so familiar...were you on Rallos Zek? I know there was one guy who ran the economy too, literally had millions of platinum, which was absolutely insane at the time.

Me and all my friends played EQ from around release to just a year or two short of when WoW was released. Played Star Wars Galaxies, Dark age of Camelot, and EQ2 inbetween EQ and WoW. We're pretty much MMO junkies and can't wait for Star Wars: The Old Republic to be released, we're done with WoW and want the next big, good MMO. Tried Rift, but most of the group didn't like it (I actually enjoyed it, but once they left it was just kind of so so).

Scruffy Forever!

I never got to DAoC at all. People raved about it. Agreed about SWTOR. I was really digging SWG before NGE. But that's the old story.

I'll probably go back to WoW sometime soon. The sense of humor is just too great, as long as you can avoid the 12 year olds.

Aside from those rare GM events, I never raided really. I don't group/guild/corp up, preferring to use MMOs as big single player RPGs with giant chat rooms and interesting economies. When I want to hang with other people, I do it in meatspace.

Nah - I was on The Nameless (lovingly referred to as "The Gameless"). I played a couple of different characters - I started as a half-elf bard named "Izinging Azong" but ended up as a Froglok Shaman named "Apprentice Fisherman Ribbuffit Igotslongname" (I was young and your standard jerk online - just hoping to take up as much screen space as I could for hilarity).

And when we are thinking back to towns - Kaladim is where it was at. The dwarven town where no one went (except to turn in that bonechips quest that you could easily powerlevel on). Another favorite zone of mine - Crushbone. Kill Emporer D'vinn! ZOMG HE DROPPED HIS DIRK!

Man - I haven't played that game in 6 years and all of this info just flows right back once I start talking about it. Crazy.

But I fear that it will be much like going back to your grandparents house. it just won't be as amazing as I remember it.

I played EQ during its golden years. There really wasn't any other competition (DAOC, EvE are the only ones I can think of) and so it was thoroughly saturated with players, the game was complex & punishing enough that the upper end players were almost always intelligent, and the game was in constant development. I played again when they hit their 10 year anniversary just for an afternoon and it felt so...I don't know...sepia toned. It wasn't the vibrant, lively EQ I had known. It had lost whatever the EQ quality was - whether that was the player base, my guild, the real life friends that I had that still played the game, the fact that I knew the game inside and out at the time, whatever.

TL;DR version: Time makes memories awesome until you go back and actually revisit it.

Yeah combat music is enough to kill yourself by, and it is a slow grindfest. But there's some stuff in there that I've STILL never seen as good. Like some of the crafting mechanics. You just had to know, as a player (not character) a recipe to take a crack at something. Nobody's done that since that I know of. There was all KINDS of weirdness; exceptions to the formulas built in to the game.

Crafting in that game was WEIRD.

At the time, quests didn't seem weird as they were standard MUD format. The PITA part was figuring out what to say if they didn't have anything to guide you. Looking back - that is a dumb system :r.

PVP was hilarious to watch - because the game was flat out not optimized at all for PVP. It was a PVE game through and through :)

Yeah. Most of the new stuff (yeah, there was just an expansion last year) has a new quest interface. But the quests in Qeynos are still soul-crushingly annoying, doing the binary search of pasting the source text in to see what triggers the quest drop or whatever it was.

Ya know I just unsubbed from AO and EvE (let the month run out but they're both boring me senseless) and poked my head over to WoW to re-up for a month, and it gave me the option to take a free week. I clicked, so I could laugh at them, thinking it was "we'll give you a free week if you re-up for a year." But it turns out it was an honest to goodness plain old "no credit card required" free week.

That ought to be enough time to get sick of it again ;)

New FF MMO? The style of the old one (11? I'm never sure.) was really slick but it took forever to do anything and get anywhere.

I just took up the machining habit in October for the first time. Moved in April and need some widgets to set things up. It's currently more interesting than video games (though I'm becoming a serious minecraft whore.)

As for games, I'm waiting for Skyrim, ME3, SWTOR and... I can't remember what else. What I need is for Steam to pick up the old C&C series :-)

I actually downloaded the free trial for EQ just to explore Qeynos and see if it might be fun to revisit, but they stuck you on a newbie island and the combat was so painful that I couldn't play it for more than 15 minutes. I did get a little shiver up my spine when I hit level two and had that *DING* sound play.

EQ1 DING FTW! Seriously. That makes me salivate every time I hear it.

Thing about EQ now is that there are new starting zones, so Qeynos is a ghost town. Freeport has been totally redone though, it's freaky.

I still wanna kill Sgt. Slate and Holly Windstalker.

No new blockbuster games recently to my knowledge. The ones that I'm tracking & which system I want them for (The majority of these are available on 360, PS3, and PC)

PC:
Battlefield 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Diablo 3

PS3:
Driver: San Francisco
Twisted Metal
Uncharted 3 (**** - I still need to play 1 & 2!)

360:
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Final Fantasy XIII-2

All of these games will likely be worth it.

There's really nothing I'm interested in coming down. yeah I'll get Skyrim because... eh. it's elder scrolls. But I predict being bored being unable to finish the main quest with an assassin without getting my arse kicked every 3 seconds just like in all the rest of the ES series.

Better hurry. They're talking about limiting the number of preorders.

There was a whole "we'll email you in 48 hours to see if you got one" thingie. Maybe it's fake, but maybe it's not.

And the collector's edition is $149 (no, I didn't. that's more than I'm going to spend on the thing + subscriptions.)

As long as they have an actual class system instead of the "instagimp" abstract skill system Fallen Earth uses, it'll be possible. There's a lot of room for some great content there.

Too bad V.A.T.S. can't make the translation though :)

That's true. I guess their hope is to take the setting & control scheme moreso than the actual game. Removing VATS and changing the leveling system are HUGE changes

Absolutely. The only thing that really CAN survive the translation process is content and "flavor." Everything else has to change, from the console-like interface to the levelling system.

They've got a leg up with the way they've been going with crafting and such.

It can work. But it's definitely not going to be Fallout 5 (or whatever that number would end up being.)

This Star Wars pre-order is absurd. Limiting a DIGITAL game? Are they afraid they'll run out of bites?

And a PRE-ORDER FEE? Are you ****ing kidding me? Even gamestop, which is known for nickle and diming people to hell, doesn't charge a fee for pre-orders. $65 for a MMO that you will then have to pay a monthly fee for?

No. EA - **** you. This is completely unacceptable and I absolutely refuse to support it.

Well, a legitimate reason to throttle preorders is starting server capacity.

Yeah most of those are later this year right?

I really hope Diablo 3 isn't pay to play.

No new blockbuster games recently to my knowledge. The ones that I'm tracking & which system I want them for (The majority of these are available on 360, PS3, and PC)

PC:
Battlefield 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Diablo 3

PS3:
Driver: San Francisco
Twisted Metal
Uncharted 3 (**** - I still need to play 1 & 2!)

360:
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Final Fantasy XIII-2

All of these games will likely be worth it.

Driver: San Francisco

This one is coming to PC. Do not buy it on the PC. For reasons listed in this (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-07-27-driver-pc-always-on-internet-required) article.

Essentially - if you want to play Driver: San Francisco on PC you have to have a constant internet connection. This is for your computer to have constant communication with their 3rd party DRM server. (Been done before and REALLY annoying. If your internet connection blips off for a second you're out of the game and have to restart. Here's to hoping their autosave feature is good)

In addition - Ubisoft is really going to start laying into the Uplay system...it will cost about $10 to get access to multiplayer on consoles. This is to make sure that they will get a cut of all used game sales. Oh wait - I mean to help them cover server costs. Yeah - that was the official statement I mean.

I really don't like some of the things that have been happening in the gaming industry lately. My fear is that crap like this becomes standard.

I've heard a lot of people say they thought the game was ruined...but I don' think so at all.

The fact that it is online only is lame, I'll admit (even though I only ever played D1 and D2+Expansion online). But most people seem to take offense at the idea of real currency being used to buy items.

Keep in mind that those items are only for sale from other players and still have limits on them as far as level goes (iirc). The absolute end-game items probably won't be available for a while anyway because they are a player-to-player transaction and not player-to-blizzard. And lets be honest - purchasing virtual goods for cash in WoW, D2LoD, EQ, any online game has been around for a while. What they are doing is legalizing the act, protecting the consumer, and taking some off the top for themselves.

I can see where the fears are coming into play...but I can't see it really being a game killer. Is it a game changer? Of course - any new mechanic is. But I doubt that it is going to be as utilized as people fear it will be.

The Fallout/Elder Scrolls stuff all just ground to a halt for me. They just take too damn long. I recently hit the Oblivion/Morrowind GOTY for $15 on Steam, booted up morrowind (and remembered why it was so much better than oblivion) and got sick of it after an hour. Same thing with New Vegas.

I used to be such a proud RPG monkey.

I'll end up getting Skyrim out of habit "just to see" I guess. But I'm not as excited as I should be for a $60 game.

I hear you, but I'm a persistent little bastard. Plus, with all the side storylines and the fact that I just sometimes boot up the game to go on killing sprees. It amuses me to know end and sometimes, I even actually start to do the main storyline to progress my character.

Oblivion/Morrowind is an excellent game, but damn, that thing takes forever and a day. I seriously almost rage quit after it took me an hour to get somewhere, to only get jumped/killed and having to repeat it all over again. Granted, I could have skipped that by saving along the way, but sometimes I really push my luck.

I'm looking forward to Skyrim, once again, that's just habit kicking in. Hopefully I'll be able to keep interested in it, but at the exact same time. I'm not sure if I can invest five or so hours every time I play it. Cause those types of game need a lot of time to do anything in one sitting.

My friend got in the beta about 3 weeks ago so I've seen the gameplay. It's still in very much a beta stage right now, but I'm hoping it gets polished up by release. If they fix the bugs and graphic glitches it will definitely be a HUGE contender in the MMO market. Great gameplay, storyline, and overall immersion in the SW universe.

I couldnt play AC:1 it bored me and I was very disappointed in it.

AC: 2 is 1000X's better.

Fallout 3 is an amazingly DEEP long game, Well worth your $ and it's only $10 or something now.

Borderlands was ok, but careful hooking up with people online that have higher skill points than you, because what they kill goes into your skill points....so say you are a level 5 and you meet someone how is a level 15-20 you go and and that person does all the killing, but you get the points.......so when you go back to your single player campaign you are a much higher level than your enemies and it makes for boring gameplay.....just my :2

I see them opening the beta up more and more here soon though, they're needing to stress test this like what...

AC 1 not worth it? Also, any opinions on Fallout 3 or Borderlands?
Posted via Mobile Device

Fallout 3 was really good, once I got a "carry bagillions of everything" mod installed. Pacing was admittedly a bit slow for me. I'm much less inclined to spend hours wandering around the wasteland than I used to be.

I positively ADORE Borderlands. According to steam I've got hundreds of hours logged. now with the announcement of Borderlands 2 I've actually started from scratch again as a goof.

Some DLCs (Knoxx, Dr. Zed) are really exceptional as well. The Claptrap DLC was cute, but not really notable. Mad Moxxie was pretty stupid for a single player. But it DOES add an item bank, which is really nice.

One or two of them were pretty difficult. Youtube them if you get stuck, I know its cheating but after several attempts (I think Il Duermo) I had too.

Brotherhood's got a similar thing, but its not mandatory to beat the game.

I really want to check that game out Michael.

It's too early to tell for me yet but it looks like they really NAILED it. I suspect the "sufficiently hard in the beginning" is going to reflect a demand on actual thoughtful gameplay later on. The hacking system is f'ing cool as hell.

The first mission after the intro sequence allows you to choose your rules of engagement, whether to go "lethal or nonlethal" and "ranged or close combat". It's really quite something.

Final Verdict on Deus Ex. 8.5/10

As the game goes on it becomes easier if you choose the right augmentations. Sometimes even too easy. It's a huge PITA at the start but once you get a few levels in it's really fun.

Still to me some of the stuff doesn't work right. The game is kinda short too with too few side quests.

I think if they spent another 6 months to a year on it and made the game longer it could be 9/10 +

Worth a play through for sure.

It seems once you level up and are kicking ass the game is over, which is kind of a shame.

The ending should be interesting but MEH...

The game is fine. I heard people describe it as Fallout-esque...I'd call it more of Borderlands. When people say "Fallout" I think of this deep, involved story-line. Not so much with Borderlands - It is more of a "Kill stuff and level up" kinda game.

I personally wasn't a huge fan of Borderlands. But aside from a few nit-picky things that drive me up the wall about Dead Island it is fine.

There's hardly any platforming aside from two jump pack sequences. Most of the game involves smashing and dramatic british voice acting.

Yeah, 1.8 really reignited my interest in Minecraft. It's always on the backburner as something to mess around with, but I've been really into some other games lately. The 1.8 update just brought back my interest to it.

Now Borderlands 2 gets me excited for sure. I need to go back and play the two expansions that I never finished. I finished the game (twice) and then played through Zombie Island and Underdome Riot, still need to get to General Knoxx and Robot Revolution.

Knoxx is solid. The only thing I got out of Underdome was the bank. (I don't play with other people.) Robot Rev is good but I tend to forget the details. I think Ned wins on the DLCs.

Minecraft 1.8 is really impressing me. I'm torn as I have an existing world with LOTS of huge mostly-finished constructions. I have to venture pretty far in order to get the new terrain generators to kick in. But it sure is a whole different level of game.

It's funny. I've started teaching myself how to build furniture and it's suspiciously cubic looking.

After back-to-back 70+ hour weeks at work I finally got to play some games again yesterday :tu

I bought Fallout: NV's expansion packs during the July 4th steam sales. I started onto the Dead Money expansion....and I've got to say I'm not a fan. There's certain gameplay elements they added in this expansion that really just serve to frustrate the player and limit their mobility. I found myself just getting frustrated with it after a couple of hours :/. Worst part is - you can't exit out of the DLC until you've finished the entire thing. I am now locked into a part of the game that I'm not enjoying and am required to finish it. I just hope that once I advance to the next section they remove some of the absurd limitations (I think I explained my frustration without spoiling anything...)

I picked up Company of Heroes and the expansions for $10. I've got a couple of friends that play all the time - figured this was a good chance to try it out for cheap. At that price if I play it for 3 hours then I consider it a pretty decent deal :)

I also picked up Civ5 when it was $16 not too long ago. That game EATS time. 4 hours went by in the blink of an eye.

Finally - Alpha Protocol. I've heard really good stuff about it and it is only $2 on steam until the 27th. Gotta make sure to pick it up tonight.

I'm getting increasingly excited for Battlefield 3 - any other PC players that are gonna pick it up?

I loved the Civ games early on but they just got so... micromanagey that I had to stop. I'd be cruising along thinking I was doing well, only to suddenly get wiped out. Every. Single. Time.

Thanks for the tip on Alpha. Just pulled that.

Finished a "Playthrough 2" borderlands run yesterday. By the time I was done I had just been "wanting it to be over" for hours. Wonderful game. But done is done.

Frozen Synapse Humble Bundle!

http://www.humblebundle.com/

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Humble Bundle - it is a set up where you choose how much to pay for a game. You can split up that money in a few different ways - Developers, the Humble Bundle team, or charities (in this case - Child's Play and Electronic Frontier Foundation).

In addition - if you pay above the average you get a bonus most times. In this case the bonuses are: Trine, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, Shadowgrounds, Jack Claw (cancelled game - you get what they had already created), and Splot (upon its release).

Go pick it up! You know you wanna ;)

Let us know what you think, Bill. I haven't really researched it too much.

I should have Forza 3 in today to hold me over until Tuesday when Forza 4 comes out :)

Rift's 1.5 update brings single-player dungeons, veteran rewards, and alternate advancement once you max out. So I'm back there for now.

I'll wait until steam has a half-priced GOTY edition of RAGE (yeah I know I'm probably talking 2013.) It just doesn't excite me that much.

I was about to pull the trigger on this round of Humble Bundle, and saw a squirrel or something. Today they announced a new addition, which got me thinking: If you buy it and they add something later, can you download that as well? Or is it only the list at time of purchase? I'd pull the trigger now, but if I miss out on something I'll wait until the last hour and do it then instead.

I just took a look at mine - they've added 2 games and I bought in the first day or 2. They're good peoples :tu

I tried Rift. It was a fun game and all - but it just couldn't seem to hold my interest for the 10 day trial. I am considering renewing Everquest 1, though...

Alright just got into the game and upon the first look (first 5 minutes)

John Goodman's voice is used :tu :tu (Big Lebowski, Walter)

It LOOKS like this is going to be Half life 2 Meets Doom 3. I've got high hopes for this one.

I'll post more tonight after I get a few hours in.

Just read a great review over here (http://www.next-gen.biz/reviews/dark-souls-review)

Too bad I'm not a console guy :-/

I dunno, i'm not feeling it. It's not bad, but aside from the eye candy it's pretty average.

No spoilers but yeah its taking a different turn.

It seems they are getting you ready for ....something, not sure what yet.

You're definitely "gearing up" though.

Well I'm 5 hours into the game and its definitely fun and different.

My advice, wingsticks.....they kill most enemies outright. Keep a lot of buckshot, don't bother with any pistol ammo. The "AR" (even though it looks EXACTLY like an AK) is very useful as well, burns through ammo like no other though.

I bought Civ5 when they had it on sale a while back. I started a game at about 11 am on a Saturday. Stopped what felt like an hour later - it was 7:30 PM.

The game doesn't just suck up time - it puts you into a time warp and then spits you out at some point in the future.

Alright done with RAGE. I was initially impressed but the ending is just terrible.....What a disappointment.

First off half the crap in the game is entirely useless.

What is useful

1. Wingsticks, keep 99 (Max) at all times
2. Sniper rifle (25-50 ammo at all times is good enough)
3. Most importantly ....Dynamite bolts these just make the game a cakewalk. Combined with Wingsticks you won't even take hits....at all...ever. I don't know what the limit for these is but carry it.

There isn't much of a storyline at all. I don't know if this game was a book, movie or if there were previous games but I don't even know what or why I was playing.

I enjoyed some of the gruesome weapons and kills. GREAT graphics but overall I'd give this game a 7/10 "Average".

The last gun they gave you I never even used. It sounded so badass and powerful I thought I'd save the ammo. Then right before the game ended I realized I had a stupid amount of ammo and nothing really needed more power. I was 1-2 shotting everything as is.

I got 12 hours of play out of it. I'd say you COULD push maybe 15 hours. But you could also probably beat it in 8-10 hours.

That's pretty $hitty. I miss the days of single player games taking 40-75 hours to beat.

A great effort on the game, but it was wasted. They could have gone SO MUCH further and really utilized all possibilities.

Holy crap! For all the hype and pushbacks this game received what a disappointment!:td

The funny thing is IGN gave the game an 8.5/10. They agreed on the 10-12 hours of gameplay. Also they said the ending sucked. The characters were hollow and you were shooting people for pure entertainment because the story was minimal.

Just as I said, but despite all of that they still gave it an 8.5/10....Pathetic.

Yeah Mickey and it's a shame. It had some damn good potential. Excellent graphics, fun combat. Just needed a much better storyline and about 20 more hours of gameplay.

I went back and used the Pulse cannon and BFG. Useless.

The BFG is WAY too slow to kill any fast moving enemies (75%+ in the game)

Dynamite bolts are infinitely better than both the Pulse cannon and it's BFG ammo.

Yep. Me too (re: PC.) Hell I haven't owned a TV since the early 90s.

The Bethesda stuff is just getting too big and deep for me. It's like trying to play Civ games in Tetris time slots. I just don't have the energy for it any more.

Honestly I use to be quite the hardcore gamer, I can't do it anymore either.

I can play MAYBE 5 hours a day, after that I get bored. Not everyday either.

I only use TV's for 1080P blurays.

I've never played on any console more than at my friends house as a kid. Don't like them at all.
