It was an OK game. It had a ton of flaws but a neat concept going. I hope they make a sequel. To be honest, some of the other Mega64 videos are worse, i'm very surprised they haven't been arrested as of yet :r

Yeah, I have it Darrell. It isn't bad. it's not going to revolutionize the fighting genre, but it's a game in itself. There actually is a story to it, the character design is awesome (Jim Lee did the DC characters and they kick a whole lot of ass), but the fatalities have been toned down quite a bit. If your a MK fan and don't mind the less brutal fatalities you'll like it. If it pisses you have that they watered down the violence you will probably hate it.

I can't believe the noobs are still using the XYZ spry and pray weapon and not the single shot Uber hand pistol. Well, I'm not 17 years old with twitch flex response time using a quad CPU mainframe with SLI optical light quad video cards on a 54" wall screen in 3000 x 2600 resolution (BTW, incase it slipped by you, it's called sarcasm). I use the weapons that keep me alive the longest.

I usually ping on the whiners on purpose and screw up their standing. I play for fun, a fanboy of anything I'm not :D.

Yea, the quit camping thing kills me, especially when i'm sniping lol. Bunny hopping used to bother me, but after many years of playing the different Halos it's not quite a big deal to me anymore.

ok I think I'm slowly losing my interest in COD WaW cuz I just saw someone cheat in one of the stages...He was under the map and could easily kill people without being noticed....Right when i saw that we all jumped on the mic and started harassing the dude for cheating...it turned into a "Hey he's over there..go get'em" game..

NOTHING kills my interest in a game faster than cheaters.

On Castle there's a glitch to go under the map, so if you see someone trying to run into the corner of the wall of the building which is on the far right side of the bridge then SHOOT THEM! There's also another glitch which allows them to levitate in mid-air over by the stairs at the far back building past the sniper tower.

On Downfall there's a glitch in the mud-puddle which also allows you to get under the map.

There's been quite a bit of uprising about these glitches as of late however I'm not sure Treyarch is doing anything about it. They did code and patch the rapid fire controllers which is great, but they need to patch those glitches

For any of you that want to play a decent, fair game let me know. I typically play Hardcore because it requires more skill and is a lot more fun for me but I'll play whatever. I'm on most days at night EST.

Thanks for the info...I usually start ranting when I see a cheater...I hope they patch those soon...I wouldn't mind new maps either but since the game just game out we can't expect that too soon. :D

It's getting harder and harder to find matches with honest players, most of these "kids" all seem to love "glitching" and don't give a rat's a$$ that there doing it. They should keep that crap to system link/friend matches..

Glitching is a great way for people with no skills to rack up kills. Kind of defeats the purpose of the game imho.

I can't imagine wasting my time and money on a game when everything is free...free money, free weapon upgrades...what is the fun in that? There are some games I have never finished because the last boss is too hard for me, but I just put it away...no cheats.

If you are looking for a good WW2 game you might want to pick up Call of Duty WaW instead. I had MOHA, it wasn't very good.

Agreed. I was only ever tempted to cheat once. Many years ago, a SNES game called Super Ghouls and Ghosts nearly made me want to cheat. That game was impossible. But I didn't, i powered my way through it, beat it, and never played it again lol.

It wasn't bad, just kinda generic. If you want a decent, change of pace WW2 FPS, give Brothers in Arms Hells Highway a shot. More of tactical shooter.

I liked all of them except CoD3. I have to say CoD4 and CoD WaW are my favs, with the original and CoD2 following close behind. None of them are like the Brothers in Arms series, CoD games are more scripted twitch shooters.

I liked the MoH cames and I think there is a "platinum" pack at a decent price. They are both similiar and different. There was a lot to like and dislike in both. But I still enjoy the single player stuff as much it not more as the online stuff.

Get Fallout 3 James. Left for Dead is no fun by yourself (awesome with three other guys), Resistance 2 was good, but Fallout was an experience. It drove me nuts with the bugginesss but it's a game with a ton to offer. Of course I could just tell you what i've told everyone else this year, skip all three and get Dead Space, still my fav game of the year ;)

I didn't get as much this year game wise. Got a copy of IL2-Sturmovik for the PC and a copy of Mushroom Men on the wii. Haven't tried IL2 yet but MM is actually pretty good!

Just in case you don't know, you can use the nunchuck instead of the wheel ( I don't use the wheel at all), Mario Kart Wii is great!!

I've been loving LBP, Jim! At first I thought it was a kiddie game, but I've gotten addicted to it. I seem to alternate between it, RockBand 2, and GH World Tour. I see that CoD: WaW is on sale for $35 on Amazon today (including the PS3 version)... I'm afraid I won't be able to resist. I played the Zombie level at a friend's last week. Made it to level 20. That was the funnest hour and a half I've spent playing games in a long time!

first impressions of fallout 3 are pretty good. Not very far into the game yet, but one thing I've noticed is you can get yourself in alot of trouble wandering around when you don't have very good guns. Haven't decided if I want to be a good or bad person yet, have only stole a few things so far :)

Well last night I found out that my 360's dvd drive is BROKE!!! DAMN IT! It won't read any games and the UI on NXE just says "open tray". After doing some research on the net to find out a cause it looks like the dvd drive has failed. So now I need to wait to get a return box, and then wait even longer for them to send me back a replacement 360 or drive (not sure which they'll do) So I've now experienced the RROR and dvd failure issues that xbox 360's are known for!

But I love my 360!!!:ss

I need a little help from anyone who owns an xbox 360 and uses live through a network (either wireless or wired). If you can PM me I would appreciate it.

Basically what I am trying to do is this:

I have two PC's, one desktop and one laptop. The laptop is on my wireless network and was connected to my xbox 360. However, because I kept downloading stuff onto my laptop HDD it was taking up a lot of space and so I'd like to actually connect my desktop (which has it's own HDD as well as an External attached to it) so I can use that to stream my music, movies, pics, etc. to my xbox.

The problem: My xbox only picks up my laptop through the wireless network and not my desktop. I have a cable modem connected to a linksys wireless router. The router is wired to the desktop through the port and the laptop just picks it up wirelessly. I am no good with computer networking and am looking for some help or advice on how to set this up.

My desktop is in a completely different room than my xbox which is in the living room with my big tv and surround so I can't just connect the desktop to the xbox through a wired connection (it would require too much wire and be a mess, plus I live in a condo and that's no an option to have a wire exposed).

I have my Xbox live connected to my router wirelessly. I'm not in front of it right now, i'm not sure how they changed it with the NXE switch, but there used to be a connections section in the networking area. Just select your router when it pops up on available networks, input your password if you have one, and go.

I'm about an hour or so into it. It's a nice change of pace from what I usually play. The most annoying part for me is having to go collect the light seeds after you heal a land. I don't really like the back-tracking. Other than that... it seems pretty good.

I just finished the main story line last night. Then I jumped online for a bit. I really like the built in party system. The only thing I couldn't figure out is how to "heart" levels and players while following someone else. If you're the leader, you can do it, but not if you're a follower.

Anyway, I guess I'll play through the level creation tutorials next and see what that's all about. :)

I liked Hell's Highway. i felt a little lost cause I didn't play any other BiA except for the first one (I definitely missed some story lol) but it was a fun game. It got pretty hard at the end, trying to grind through that game on authentic is damn near impossible!

It was Hell's Highway and that's the only one I've played. I'm going to try my luck at authentic. But, I have a feeling it'll be like CoD on the hardest level and be almost impossible to beat like you said.

RE4 was fantasic, I have no idea how many times I played that damn game. The only thing that I never got was the hand cannon when you mastered the mercenary mode. I know you can't run/move and shoot in RE4 so that wouldn't be a big disappointment for me. I missed out on the free download for this game.

I'm a bit dissapointented over not being able to move and shoot. After playing so much Dead Space (which if you loved RE4 you should definitely pick up!) having to stand still to shoot just feels antiquated. Otherwise, i'm super pumped, especially over the co-op.

I tried the demo for Halo Wars. Actually pretty good, demo was good fun.

There are just so many games on the horizon i'm looking forward too. Killzone 2, Mad World, Fear 2, RE5, Deadly Creatures, SFIV, Halo Wars, House of the Dead Overkill, Tenchu Shadow Assassins, The Conduit, Tom Clancy HAWX, just to name a few :r

I can actually hear footsteps when someone's trying to creep up on me. Everything sounds so much more refined. It's a totally enhanced experience. I'd really have to crank up the sound to hear everything on my home theater. Especially to drown out the noise from the PS3 fan. I should have been playing with them on from the beginning.

I downloaded the demo yesterday. I think I'll rent it instead of buying it. I don't quite get the Assistant On/Off thing, and I don't like that it forces you to 3rd person view when assist is off. I'm not sure what the point of that is.

yah I really didn't like the 3rd person view but the graphics were great. Maybe the full game will give you the option of another view, but who knows

I liked it. I can't base my whole opinion on a demo though! A demo has tons of bugs and glitches that would be gone (hopefully) when the game is done.

I'm buying tomorrow and will let ya know. I loved Bogey Dead 6 on the PS One and this is like a updated kick ass version.

Haven't taken it online and probably won't since finding a mature player is like finding gold in a silver mine. But the campaign is fun and has it's challenges. The fighting is great and the controls are spot on really.

Assistant is mandatory in certain situations! When you really get in the **** and you have so many plains attacking and shooting you must use it or your not gonna get far at all.

Also, You can change the view out of third person to a just the target display with hud or inside the cockpit display.

Fun game if you don't like sim or want a rest from simulation.

I stopped used Live because of it and lost touch with the beta testers, I do miss the beta days! It was a small tight nit community with no noob this or blank that.

Been on the road a whole bunch but I have fit in a couple of games. Quick run down of what i've played over the last couple of weeks:

Resident Evil 5: Good fun, though the controls bother me a bunch.

Tom Clancy's HAWX: This game sucks. Boring, repetitive, and far too easy.

Mad World: This game is awesome! It's way over the top violent, but to the point where it is funny. Def worth a go.

Call of Duty WaW: New Nazi zombies FTW!

Empire:Total War: Awesome strategy game, though putting it on ultra high settings makes my pc weep. Awesome game :)

Yea, RE5 didn't blow me away like RE4 did. As for upcoming games, Velvet Assassin for the 360 looks like a cool stealthy game and Demigod for PC kinda looks neat. Otherwise not too much catching my eye right now.

I picked up Fallout 3 about a week ago and have been playing that. Great game, really in-depth and just a vast friggin' world. There's just so much to do. I'm only on Level 9 right now but it seems it will keep me busy for quite a long time.

I downloaded the UFC demo on PS3, and I'm quite surprised at how fun it is. Though the tutorial seems to go on forever, the controls actually aren't that bad. I wasn't sure how they could cram everything in (striking, clinching, throws, guard, submissions, etc.), but it actually works quite well.

The wife and I played it for over an hour Monday night, which is saying a lot because she's definitely not a gamer, though she is a big UFC fan. She kept knocking me out using Chuck Liddell's superman punch! :D

from everything I read on line I have the fatal Three Rings of Death. I've had the unit for 4-5 years so no warranty. I liked Assassin's creed and think if they improve some parts that AC2 is going to be awesome! Like cigargal said it ended rather quickly and I thought it was wayyyyyy too repetitive. Still really fun and the concept is great

I liked Assassin's creed and think if they improve some parts that AC2 is going to be awesome! Like cigargal said it ended rather quickly and I thought it was wayyyyyy too repetitive. Still really fun and the concept is great

Agreed. The pacing of the game is what killed me, there were stretchers of the game that felt like a chore.

On a side note, Steam is running a great weekend sale. Five bucks for the Penumbra collection, which is some of the scariest stuff on PCs!

Probably just easier to get a USB controller for your PC rather than fumble with. I can't really imagine playing AC on my computer, I had enough trouble on Xbox lol.

Let's put it this way... I never finished the tutorial. Llike I said - wasted $$$. I also bought Resident Evil part 3000000 or something like that and didn't realize it still had to be played like a controller. If I wnat a console - I'll buy one. Improperly porting that crap to a PC is irritating.

I went with Ghost Busters. Took me some time to decide what I wanted and figured since I grew up with the GB I wanted the game. I like it so far, But, These dang candle things keep killing me at the hotel while tracking the fishermen ghost. I just got it today. I'll play more tonight.

I'm a big GB busters fan and I love the game! Haven't played all the way through it, but I love the back and forth between the characters. Makes me want to watch the movies again.

Slim him to get the protective black slim off, Rip mask off and shoot his green eye, Sounds easy enough but He kills me every time with that crazy spiny thing, he's alway up my a$$! Use the blue beam to slow him down and sprint into the nearest portal when he gets close to you :tu

Anyone played Battlefield 1492, er 1943? :)
I downloaded the demo, then immediately bought the full version. I think it's well worth the 15 bucks. It's kind of a simplified version of 1942. Only 3 classes, 3 maps (a 4th is coming out), unlimited ammo. It's got jeeps, a couple kinds of tanks, boats, and planes. There are no bombers that you can get in, but there is an "air raid" mode where you guide the bombers to the target and release the bombs.

I don't expect it to keep me entertained for more than a couple weeks, but it's a total blast right now!
