The Fuente was from Secret Santa 2016 and it was amazing. Oily, wood, tiny bit of tannic, and leather. Very nice.

The Padron and El Original were lottery winnings.

The cheroot was from my mystery sampler from Cigar Federation and no idea what it was. You would think they would tell you so you could buy more and this was right up my Wheel house as a Cigar I enjoy.

Some amazing person must have gifted me this 2014 TAA and I thank you!!!! Creamy, sweet, milk chocolate chocolate with a nice sharp bite to it and a long, lingering finish ending with some tangy cedar.

Got a shipment in today. Decided I was in the mood for something a little lighter. I pick up this Cohiba and man, oh man. I think this is my new favorite. It's very smooth and creamy. I am picking up a nutty flavor with intermittent hints of leather, earth, and... caramel?! I love this little dude.

This cigar was amazing ! The flavor profile was up my wheelhouse. Very little spice detected. Rich dark earthy chocolate till the end. Medium - full . Sadly to say it was my only one. It is a box worthy purchase for me :tu

I've been off board for at least a couple of years, and had laid low on regular stogie consumption, but while rotating my main box I a came across a good old Famous Nic 6000 from about eight or nine years ago, one of their early runs at this house brand, and lit that sucker up. It's still a great smoke for the money, and I really enjoyed smoking it: plenty of flavor but smooth. A bit light on the draw but nothing too bad. Bundled stick, sure, but for a Saturday morning killing time before I leave for football game, hit the spot.

Humidor diving and I knew I had this Cigar buried in the back and it’s a good six or seven years old so time to light up this Don Pepin Blue Torpedo. I’m not sure why but I suspect it’s amonia coming off the cigar as it ages but the DPG Blue that were older always had the label coloring fade. I took a second picture to record the phenomenon.

Pulling off the cellophane was more like peeling a banana to get it out and the aroma was the same old barnyard manure so not much has changed in this cigar. I sneezed four times so Pepper is there.

Burns great.
Tastes only a bit tempered and I get a tangy coffee like dark espresso with a long finish of burnt cedar. This cigar hasn’t mellowed much in all this time and that doesn’t surprise me as that’s pretty much been my experience with the DPG cigars.

I’ve smoked boxes of these bad boys but due to so many great cigars, this one has been forgotten. It’s nice to pull it out and remember the cigar that put Don Pepin on the map.

Smoked my first Casa Cuba last night and at first was a little underwhelmed. It reminded me of a King/Queen B with slight differences. I enjoyed it more and more as it progressed though, and it produced some of the best smelling smoke in a cigar I've ever had. Not box worthy for me, but definitely need a few of these around.

Smoked an Opus X Reserve d'Chateau last night that a friend gifted me at the B&M on Tuesday.

After my recent good experience with a Opus X Belicoso XXX recently, I had high hopes for the Reserve. Was not to be, it had none of the subtle tones (like black cherry) nor smoothness the Beli had. I was disappointed, and certainly glad I didn't have to drop the scratch for this one. I'll go back to the Beli or something small next time I get the Opus urge.

This cigar is a first for me but it’s damn good. CAO is making great cigars again I see!!!! Lots of rich ligers giving off pepper, maybe a bit of charred wood lingering on the palate. It’s a rich oily cigar and really great for the Full body lovers.

Last night I smoked a Viaje Friends and Family.

Tonight it’s a Cigar given to me by AV8TOR152D from the October lottery. Tonight Cigar is a Tatuaje Black. I smoked about 20 of the 2013 release Blacks in the corona gorda size and while I enjoyed that release, it was one of the Nicaraguan cigars that in my opinion, rolled off with age.

This particular release has everything I loved in a fresh 2013 Tatuaje Black being an oily, pepper tingle on the lips, sweet leather and an espresso quality to the bite and tingle. Note, about 4 hours ago I actually drank espresso so that might taint my palate.

I am thoroughly enjoying this cigar!

Guardian of the Farm Campeon which is a 6x52 Belicoso. Cigar Afficionado preferred the Apollo which is a lonsdale at a 6x44 and before they were sold out, I could have gotten a box of either but I’m a toro / Belicoso/ Torpedo / kind of guy. I’m sure the Apollo is great but this cigar certainly is great.

Missed out you say? Buy the Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Corojo and they seem pretty damn close to my lousy palate.

Inca Secret Blend Roca. Interesting cigar with some subtle sweet notes in the first 1/3rd, but a mostly cedar and slightly earthy profile. A Peruvian puro, it had a good draw and burn, not bad flavor either. I'm not likely to be a buyer at the $7-8 price point though.

I will buy lanceros of lines that I normally wouldn't try in other sizes. I just really like the thinner rg cigars right now.
The Jason is the winner of the Skinny Monsters so far. Besides that one, I haven't been too impressed. I've enjoyed them so far, but won't be looking to get any more.

Started with a Crux Epicure which was fairly mild but still tasty. I have yet to smoke a Crux that I haven't liked. I probably won't get any more, but I definitely won't have a hard time reaching for the 4 I have left.
Right after finishing the Crux I blindly grabbed a smoke out of my singles drawer and came out with an older Oliva torpedo with a blue cloth band. I don't know anything about it, but it was pretty tasty.

Johnny O fresh rolled Oct 3017 - got two Johnny O’s of different sizes in November and let this sit in the bottom of the cigar cooler drying out and staying cool, around 60 dry F, to make sure no creepy crawlers spawn. I had them in a plastic bag isolated on the bottom all by their lonesome.

This is my first Johnny O and I’m impressed! Pretty strong Cigar with a strong tannin leather flavor. Draw is great and I presume my drying them out helped the draw but since this is my first, I can only speak to this one Cigar.

Would I buy any? Yes, but they seem a bit pricy and I wouldn’t say it’s better then a Tatuaje, AJ F, Viaje, or Casa Fernandez Cigar but it’s certainly quite good. I oils see why smoking hem fresh is good and I could see how four years of aging would be a nice experience but that is pure speculation on my part.

La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull. Not as strong as other LFDs I've smoked, but good construction and flavor, albeit a bit one-dimensional.

I just finished a Tatuaje Pudgy Monster Drac. It was pretty good. If the construction were only better, I wouldn't mind a 5'er.
I just lit up an Illusione Epernay. The size is the "Le Grande" from the look of it. Initial puffs were similar to a PLPC that Pnoon gifted me recently. Milder than that was, but that burnt marshmallow is pretty tasty. Hoping the rest of this cigar is just as nice.

Tonight’s cigar is the Tatuaje Avion 11 which is certainly a candidate as one of my top 10 favorite cigars.

I smoked the AJ Enclave a few nights back and the next night an AJ Enclave Broadleaf and to be honest they are both great so neither got an edge up on the other. This Avion beats them both hah.

I will smoke one of those tonight to remind myself of what I thought. I bought them as a special cigar to share over Christmas with my Thursday group and I recollect them being good with hints of Cuban leather flavors mixed with a bit of dryness. Now that I have smoked TTT tropes I would say similar profile and medium body.

Personally, to me, the three escorts are better hah but I should really smoke a second.

Well, it pays to smoke a second. The Wunderlust is a hell of a lot better then I recollect. I still get leather but it’s not dry. It’s more of a tannin leather that has a creamy texture. The resting aroma is dry leather up through the nostrils.

New flavors are a sweetness I distinctly didn’t taste in December that adds a very nice balance to the leather and tannins. Whoo, this is definitely moved from good to great and I do wonder if it’s more humid then when I got them in December??? Either way, much better then recollected.

Cigars from Wednesday and Thursday. The Gloria Cubans R was after I had smoked the WunderLust and it was a very good cigar with a nice bit of strength to it. I believe Cigarnut have that to me in one of the lottery wins I had.

Thursday I started off with a Cigar Federation .45 ACP and it’s excellent. Following that was the Gran Habano Factory Over run or I think it was Gran Habiano. Got it from a lottery donor and it was a great second cigar. The ACP is pretty stout and this was a nice medium.

Well, it pays to smoke a second. The Wunderlust is a hell of a lot better then I recollect. I still get leather but it’s not dry. It’s more of a tannin leather that has a creamy texture. The resting aroma is dry leather up through the nostrils.

New flavors are a sweetness I distinctly didn’t taste in December that adds a very nice balance to the leather and tannins. Whoo, this is definitely moved from good to great and I do wonder if it’s more humid then when I got them in December??? Either way, much better then recollected.

TxRebel, what were your thoughts?
