I really enjoyed it. Had a real nice almost vanilla sweetness to it. It probably didn't hurt that I lit it up because the first cigar I had was horrid and I pitched it. Im glad I have a few more stashed away. As for me I had a La Tribu Corona yesterday.

Have had very very little time but snuc away for a Krisfoff Maduro Lancero (maybe it was a little smaller than a lancero, dunno.

I knew going in it would be one dimensional but I would not call it flat and rather enjoyed it. Good time spent with my weiner dog even thought it was quite hot.

Ish to say the least. Horrid burn, bitter, no flavor and I quit about another 1" into it. I have been told the natural wrapper is far better so hopefully about two weeks I will try again

Fired a Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 4 before heading in to Safeco for this afternoon's Red Sox game in Seattle.
Flavor flared in spasms. Tough draw. Was expecting a better smoke because the wrapper looked delicious.
Got a more consistent choice after post-game dinner: LHC Core Toro.

'11 Anejo Shark, I think that these age differently than other Anejos, 49's are absolutely divine with a year or two on them, I've had sharks dating from 07 up to '12 this year and I feel sharks are best smoked fresh, and 49's taste the best, and are hands down my favorite Cigar! contrary to everyone favoring Sharks!!

'Willie' (shaggy foot) (Toro) (6.0"x48) - This was my 3rd of a 5'er and I'm still not completely sold. Nice medium smoke but even after months of rest I start getting uneven burn after the 1st 1/3. Good flavors for the first 1/2 but it gets a bit tarry as you get into the 2nd half. I did enjoy it while it lasted but these will remain a hiking cigar. No tears shed if I fall off a log crossing a river with one hanging out of my jaw.

I have never seen that stick before. Care to give just a mini review? I have not had a ton of Viaje's, maybe 8-10 blends, and I have yet to have one that was memorable much less noteworthy. Frustrating as the brand seems to get so much hype. I like the Skull and Bones Mystery I think its called, with the black primary and secondary band but a little past half way it just turns tasty and although they are not much money, $6 or so, I makes me not want to get more.

I will be happy to do a review but my guess is the 50/50 Black may be more up your alley if you like the Skull and Bones. I am nota huge fan of the Skull & Bones as they are a bit over my spectrum but the 50/50's are both fantastic. Just a quick aside, the 50/50 red is close to the Summerfest or Honey and Handgernades but more complex by design but more on that later. I will post a review Friday :)

Started off the day with a Foundry Lovelace. I know a lot of people aren't that fond of the Foundry cigars, but I thought it was quite enjoyable. The blend is definitely one of a kind. The only down side was the Pleno Sol wrapper they put on these things is VERY delicate. But other than that, a good start to a good day.

Las Antillas Robusto, was pretty harsh at the start and then settled in nicely, unfortunately when I took the band off halfway through half the remaining wrapper came off with it as the glue or adhesive had stuck to it. Pretty unfortunate for a "cigar of the year" type line. I've got some of the toros though so I'll give this marca another try soon.

To be fair, though, I'd only let it rest for about 10 days in the humi before I just had to set fire to it. I got it as part of the Side Projects sampler and will let the others rest a bit longer. Decided on a fresh local pilsner and a CI I hadn't tried that came in a sampler. Stick was all right. I've never been big on Camacho so I wasn't expecting much. The only CI Legend I've really enjoyed was the Red so far.

Thanks Jake! It had been awhile since I had one. Burned real solid until inexplicably it went real south in the last third and I had to pitch it. No worries, as it gave me the opportunity for a palate cleanse by nubbing a first gen Aurora 100 Anos. :D

Incidentally, I grew up in your neck of the woods, Stonington to be exact. Haven't been back in a few years but my brother in law is opening a brewery up in Vernon in a few months, so I'm hoping to make the trip back for the launch. Have to look into those Toppers while I'm there!
