Thanks for the reassurance! I try not to buy a bundle/box of something I've never sampled before. But I may try one out tonight. :D

People give Arganese a lot of bad press and with some age on them, the maduros aren't a bad little stick. Skywalker (Darrell) turned me onto these. While they are not anything spectacular (ie, Anejo, etc), they are a lot better that people let on. :2

I enjoyed the couple of ML3's I've smoked, Mac. Now the white banded one I had, don't recall which it was, got pitched. It did nothing for me.

Edit: The white banded one I pitched was not the one in the previous pic.

I keep a box of ML3s in my vino at all times...these are really good and can be had for about $ 35 a box. I just discovered the Bahia Maduro this past week...bundle is already enroute to the house. Lots of good bargain sticks out there. Can't smoke a Padron 45th Maduro everyday. :D :D

I keep a box of ML3s in my vino at all times...these are really good and can be had for about $ 35 a box. I just discovered the Bahia Maduro this past week...bundle is already enroute to the house. Lots of good bargain sticks out there. Can't smoke a Padron 45th Maduro everyday. :D :D

The Bahia Maduro looked very interesting too. In fact, I almost picked those instead. But went with the cheaper option since I was shopping blind on both options.

Nice thing about them too is that at 1.25 each, I don't feel bad about pitching one early if I have to. Kids/gf have a habit of cutting some of my smoking sessions short.

Picked these VSG spellbounds up today. Every Tuesday my local B&M throws out a sick deal (last week was 6 dollar Liga privada). This tuesday it was 9 buck VSG in any size.
So, i snatched the rest of a box of spellbound. Very excited.

My wife's Uncle Jim is sending me these. I couldn't wait to show off. I'm ecstatic. It's my birthday.
I've always sent him care packages. He didn't smoke cigars until 5 years ago and his wife blames me.
So because I was getting inexpensive sticks from cigarauctioneer, I could always send him a nice bomb now and then.
And I have no idea how he knew I would love his choice. He had to ask someone.
He was a pitcher with the Dodgers in the 1970's. And now he's a baseball coach for a local high school.

Damn close...the A. Turrents are actually a little smoother in my opinion. Camacho Triple Maddies sometimes turn harsh towards the last third, whereas the A. Turrents stay smooth til the end. If I had to buy one over the other...I'd choose the A. Turrents. :2

Here is a the cream of the crop find for yesturday!

The top cigar is a "Cardinal" from the USA. Made in the 1940-1950s. This cigar was in the original box with a 6cent price tag!

The bottom cigar is from Germany. Its called "Ten Hearts" translated from German. The whole box was in German and had a Swastica on the box so we guess its between 1933-1945!
A B&M owner (who wants to remain anonamous) had a few boxes of aged smokes.... and was graticious to share these with me and a friend. He is trying to get ahold of PE CCs to sell in his shop, he knows its a long shot though. But then again, he did get cigars from the 1930s!

They're definitely smokeable! A friend of mine brought back some 90 yr old cubans from April '09 and we smoked them at a herf Dec' 09... The cigar was
a "petite perfecto" very mild until the last inch! I quickly turned into a med-full bodied & very flavorful stick! That was the first cuban that I smoked! One of those you'd have to have "been there/done it" to fully understand!

Yeah, I've been curious about the Bahia Maddy's. Might try 1 tonight. The Fonseca I smoked ROTT and it was decent. Only has the El T's in the lancero. Looking forward to trying those as well.
