Patel has hired this young man named Amilcar Castro. He's going to change Patel's image over the next few years. This guy has developed some blends that are just outstanding. He came up with 3 cigars for Famous: Vudu, Signature Series by Patel, and Patel Brothers Next Generation.
I bought them all. Vudu is great and I love Signature Series but I drool when I hold a Next Generation. Castro is following in the footsteps of Garcia in that he likes spice...which I do as well. Out of the cello, they are powerful, but after some aging, the spice mellows and the complexity comes out..
Since I'm not working, I can't afford a box of Next Generation. But these are worth a try.
Anyone else try these blends?

I was gifted a VUDU and a Patel Bros Next Generation and I was very surprised as to how good they were. Compared to any other RP I have had these where outstanding! Full of flavor unlike all the others I have had!:tu

Anyways, I got notified by my bank today that apparently my latest cigar order was so large that they put a hold on my account and temporarily canceled my credit cards.....I think I have a problem when even the bank is cutting me off now lol. I called them and everything is fine now but they said that it was an irregular charge at such a high amount. They shipped today so I should receive them in 2-8 days maybe longer with the weekend, hell of a spread on the days though? I got them from Cbid. Anyways, I will post pictures up when the box arrives here.

These came in the mail today. The new Cigar.com catalog has a "pick 2 for 39.99" offer on the back page. One of them was an RP 10-pk which included 2 ea. of SG, OWR maddie and Egde connie, corojo and maddie. I called and asked if I could get two of the same, and they agreed to it. So...20 RPs for 40 bucks. They're all toro size.

Sorry for the crappy picture. To me it looks like there are alot less than there actually is. I finally received the shipment from Cbid. In my opinion it wasn't packed that well but I guess I won't know until I start pulling them out to smoke. I have them in my desktop and my coolidor now. Only problem is that I only have one hygrometer. Maybe put everything in the coolidor? I am still trying to tell if the coolidor has a good seal on it or not but it held humidity over night when I did a test a few days ago.

the more in the humi the more stable it will be. Just do not squish them :)
