Thats not what they did to me. I ordered something that ended up being on backorder and they emailed me quickly saying such. I didnt get billed until they were in stock and had shipped (although I wish they had billed me immediately, since I had forgotten about the order lol).

They did not bill me, or let me know they were out of stock. I received the box that had a 5er of tat reservas and a couple LP #9s and was wondering where the undercrowns were. Upon furthing inspection they were listed on the packing slip with the following "***out of stock, please reorder***"

I have heard of this happening before, and I don't really mind since they did not charge me, but now I have to find another place to pick up my 5er, just a pain in the butt.

So I posted that I was looking 2-get my hands on some C-4 & get a PM from Bill (3SmokesaRound) asking if I was still looking. Told him yes I am... The offer & the price were real real attractive. I'm honestly not experienced enough to write a review. And I'm kind of ADD when it comes to smoking (probably because I'm so new and I'm not sure what I like), and I rarely make it past the band...sometimes not even *to* the band before I let the stick die an honorable death or bury it at sea.

Maybe after I get a few hundred sticks under my belt I'll try a review. Right now, my reviews would not be terribly revealing. LOL

I say try it, there is no better way to learn. Some of my best experiences have been while I was trying to write notes. It seems you focus more on the cigar and start picking out different flavors and sensations.

:tpd:...I was able to identify what regions I prefered just by taking notes. I compared them and noticed most the cigars I rated the highest, and flavor profiles I prefered were Nic puro...and it's been all down hill since. :D

Looks like they may have recently updated the JJ bands, but it has been some time since I have bought any.

Sorry, I really wasn't trying to be the bearer of bad news. When I first saw your pic I was like WOW! but than I noticed the bands looked like the rest of the newer style bands where the JJs always seemed to retain the older style. Sorry if my post seemed d*ckish. Wasn't my intention at all and for gods sake if anyone knows how to re-size the image I placed please do as I did not intend for it to be the size of a skyscraper.

I like the cutters. Those 601 La Bombas are a good smoke. Nice change of pace for me.

Kevin, those JJs with the new bands are good to go right now. Smoked one I picked up at work a couple weeks ago, definitely my favorite DPG. The JJ maddies have always had the off white color bands. I used to think they used the same ones on the Naturals and the Maduros, but then I saw one of the DPG robusto samplers we have at work, the Maduros had an off white color to em.

It actually seems like a good seal, at least by means of the drop test. We'll see when it's done seasoning how well it holds RH.

I have more faith in this one than the one from CI, although I'm a fan of the CI glass top if I can get it to hold steady RH above 63%.
