Reports I get from Representatives is that you will be charged an extra $250 on your account because of them having to clean and "fumigate" your cabin and one cruise line actually kicked people off when they arrived at the next port. It was a woman with two teenage kids I think who were smoking inside their cabin and the steward turned them in and confiscated the cigarettes while he was cleaning the room.

I don't know how it is on other cruises...but on the cruise we were on, you could smoke cigarettes in your room or on your balcony. You could not smoke cigars or pipes.
