I'm out of space! I think I need another Humi, or cooler, or cabinet, maybe an Aristocrat or Avallo.. Until then this will have to do.

And yes, those are some sorry, sorry boxes on the top shelf. All the good stuff is in the drawers. The wine bottles reside at the bottom so the fridgador can hide out next to the bar all incognito like.

They really are good, no? That is my "multiples" box. If I buy a box or 5-er, it likely finds its way in there. If I get singles, they go in the other. When I crack the first, I know what I'm getting. With the other, it's like "pot luck," which is OK, too.

Last weekend I posted (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1497) about my first humi, and now I have another!
A friend of mine just gifted me with one of his old ones! It's nice Thompson Humidor with a glass top and builtin hygrometer.

Here's a couple of pics. Only the top shelf is full, the bottom is completely empty --I gotta do something about that!

The UPS truck stopped today, so I had to reorganize a little. The rows looked pretty straight and the humidors well organized until I looked at a few of the other pictures here. Suffice it to say, I am not as well versed in cigar tetris as some of you.

Oh, and I need to learn to write on the back side so it doesn't show up when I take pictures. :bh

wow man, that looks really nice

Thanks! Aethetically speaking, I love this humi. However, functionally it's not the best setup. Basically it's a giant box with two trays on top. So, to get at the smokes in the bottom I have to take out the two trays. Plus, to make it more of a PITA I wired each tray with an accessory fan hooked up to the Hydra in the bottom. If I had to do it again, I would get maybe two smaller humis or one with drawers on the bottom.

I will start with an apology for such a long post here... but showing my humidor without telling the story just doesnt work! Last year when I started buying more then one cigar at a time I sent out an inquiry to my uncle about having him build a endtable humidor for me. Really the only way to describe him would be as an expert woodworking artist. Anyways, this is what I ended up with. Pics are poorly lit but I tried!
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/Smtopfront.jpg

The most special thing about this humidor is that aside from the spanish cedar interior, it is built entirely from wood that we found in my grandads basement when we were cleaning it up after he passed away 2 years ago. One of the very first things we decided was that this cabinet was going to be called "The Grandad", and we gave it a nice nameplate indicating as such.
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/shelves.jpg

There are 5 different types of wood used, and everything here that looks like it could multiple pieces of wood, is! All the patterns and seperate wood types are inlaid. The top alone was 106 seperate pieces of wood!
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/Smalltop.jpg
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/SmFront.jpg

I gave him the basic dimensions of what I wanted and he created this design entirely on his own. These pictures hardly do it justice..seeing it for the first time in person I was literally just speechless. The bottom section has 2 adjustable shelves for box storage, and the drawer on the top has 2 levels with a shelf on the top that can slide forward or back and be removed. He cut several adjustable dividers as well.

I have several ice chests of habanos, and everyone is custom spattered with faux blood and grime and they have "fish only" or "shrimp only" marks-a-lotted on the exterior. No one really wants to go into THOSE things. 'Cep me, tee-hee.

Yup. Cigar candy.
I use the jars for over-run and long storage. They have bags of beads in the bottoms and they're awesome for slow de-stinking of cigars that arrive wet and disgusting. I open them once in awhile and smell the cigars to see if they're fit for human consumption.
I keep my flavored cigars in those jars, too.
I just counted them the other day and there's 38 of them.
I need my head examined.

Whenever you want to, brother. :tu
When I get to your house we're gonna make a spinny table and sit in your humi. We can sit on buckets, tell lies, smoke your cigars, and listen to the radio. All within arms reach of your cigars.
w00t!!!

Are those Ikea jars that you have your other cigars in? That's a good idea I may have to barrow that trick. Nice collection too.

I built the drawers into the winadors. They have real drawer glides and everything. I wish I had used the full length telescoping ones as an afterthought.
I got the Por Larranaga humi from Hal. I traded him for beads.
It's gorgeous and it holds humidity and everything. :tu

I get the jars from Walmart. Some are plastic and some are glass.
Warren (blackdog) told me he can get the plastic ones at the grocery store, so I suppose Ikea could possibly have them, I don't know.
You gotta get the 9" plastic ones to have room for beads in the bottom so toros will fit, elsewise they're too short. Robustos and pc's will fit in any of them.
