You've come a long way from that tiny humi with the moldy sponge. As long as I live that picture will haunt me in my nightmares. :r

:r:r I totally forgot about that, thanks for jogging my memory.:D

It lets the cigars adjust to the RH of your humidor.

thanks guys, for all the compliments...

@ 68TriShield: my cigars are kept tastefull in this humidor fully lined with 5 milimeter thick cedrella odorata, if you could only smell it...

@ Clampdown: yes, i always take off the caps of my tubos, for the reason Kreth explained, so they can adjust to the RH of my humidor...

@ Kreth: great minds think alike, i can only say ;)

Just got a new phone a week ago, and this one takes better pictures. Here's my Vino and the cooler that fits under the Vino table that holds my NC.s

http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/picture.php?albumid=209&pictureid=1395
Top layer - Hoyo box holds various singles that I'm smoking, a pound of beads, some random singles.
Second layer - Cabs (or DB's put into cab's) for aging. 1 gallon ziplock bag and some tape keeps them nice and neat. Not sure why I am keeping an Oust fan there.
Third layer - Two cabs, 6 dress boxes, all bagged and tagged, and another pound of beads. Some of these I am holding for coworkers or friends that don't have room. I think two boxes might have mixed cigars that I threw in there for aging.
Bottomlayer - Hard to see but it's a bunch of nicer NC singles; Opus, Padron Anny's, Tat's, etc...

Before I bagged everything, opening the Vino had a very distinct and strong smell. Not so much now that everything is bagged, and I go through these every few months. Opening a bag though that's been sitting there for only a month smells absolutely amazing.

http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/picture.php?albumid=209&pictureid=1396
A cooler I purchased that fits perfectly under my Vino table. Holds NC in 3 cedar trays with about half a pound of beads and an Oust fan.

I just recently upgraded from an Antietam cabinet to a wine chiller. I had problems with humidity and temps during the summers, so hopefully this will put those issues to rest.

You guys think it looks fake? That would be bad news because the local store has been selling these with the same label for some time now. I'll let s0leful0ne and ucubed take a look at it next time I get to smoke with them, they would know better than me.

If i'm not mistaken, the Dominican Cohibas used to have a band similar to that of the Cuban Cohibas until they were sued and had to switch to the red dot bands we see now. so you might have a well-aged Dominican Cohiba there. I don't know exactly what the old bands used to look like.

those are those NC cohibas that got taken off the shelves from a lawsuit by the real NC cohibas. they were sold in deli's all around jersey for a long time. i read something about the makers of them being sued, so they destroyed a buttload of them and stopped making them.

i grabbed one of the last ones at a deli in north jersey after i knew they were discontinued. i will never smoke it. it is in my visor as a novelty.

Why would that matter? Our customs has no problems with anything Habana SA produces as long as your under your allocation or paying the duty and taxes on the overage ;) (his profile says he's from Ontario)

I will cover the cost of the wood/shipping and I can either pay you for the work, or throw a "thank you bomb" your way. I think I'm pretty well stocked up for quite a while... there is literally NO room on the bottom. I could probably fit some more on top, but I like the single "layer" display.

I feel pathetic compared to some of you guys.. well most actually lol. I started out with a 50 count, and then bought another 25-50 count, and now have a 100 count. Maybe I should just build a cooleredor. Definantly need to hit the local B&M up soon again. Runnin kind of low.

Top shelf -- mostly cheaper sticks, Only real good sticks up top are the Olivas.
http://dpatrickv.com/gallery/albums/Humidor/normal_103_2872.JPG

Bottom -- A wee bit better. Have some Arturo Fuentes, Padron, RPs, Taboos, etc. Unfortuantly I dont have any of my favs(Montecristos or Ashton VSGs...)Did I mention I need to go to the B&M soon? Lol

I will start with an apology for such a long post here... but showing my humidor without telling the story just doesnt work! Last year when I started buying more then one cigar at a time I sent out an inquiry to my uncle about having him build a endtable humidor for me. Really the only way to describe him would be as an expert woodworking artist. Anyways, this is what I ended up with. Pics are poorly lit but I tried!

The most special thing about this humidor is that aside from the spanish cedar interior, it is built entirely from wood that we found in my grandads basement when we were cleaning it up after he passed away 2 years ago. One of the very first things we decided was that this cabinet was going to be called "The Grandad", and we gave it a nice nameplate indicating as such.
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/shelves.jpg

There are 5 different types of wood used, and everything here that looks like it could multiple pieces of wood, is! All the patterns and seperate wood types are inlaid. The top alone was 106 seperate pieces of wood!
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/Smalltop.jpg
http://www.danielbrainard.com/photos/pics/Cabinet/SmFront.jpg

I gave him the basic dimensions of what I wanted and he created this design entirely on his own. These pictures hardly do it justice..seeing it for the first time in person I was literally just speechless. The bottom section has 2 adjustable shelves for box storage, and the drawer on the top has 2 levels with a shelf on the top that can slide forward or back and be removed. He cut several adjustable dividers as well.

This is :jd:dr B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!

I was so close to dropping the $$ on an aristocrat but saw one of these Haeir units on discount for a really good price. I figured that I could retrofit it to my particular needs.

There was quite a bit of work involved with removing the center column and resealing it so that the french doors wouldn't leak but its been holding rock steady at 65%. The big test will come whe it warms up and the thermoelectrics kick in on a regular basis.

Yep, it's polka dots. It's a Felipe Gregorio - Power Leopard. I don't know how they smoke or if they're any good at all. It was in a closeout bin at a local B&M and I picked it up just because I'd never seen one before.

Time to bump this thread with some pics,

I rearranged the Humi:dance:

Box storage looks a little empty but that should get fixed soon

Nice set-up. I think I recognize a couple little guys in there, nice to see they found a nice home. ;):D

Very humbled by the other pics I have seen here. My seven drawer and two small humis.
Just starting out and LOVING this hobby. As you can see from the pic...other hobby is collecting autographed baseballs (over 975 and counting).

I recently picked up two long display humis. Both ~ 22 inch long
This one is older and has a stand that tilts the humi to display the sticks better. Holds rh well. The original top mounted hygrometer is NG and I need to replace it...The humi is provided from blocks in the rear. Spacing is provided to separate the blocks from sticks

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/TOB9595/Cigars/IMGP1919.jpg

This is a newer model that looks QUITE NICE.
The humi is provided from blocks located in a drawer under the sticks.
Works well
I am VERY PLEASED with both types.

May.
