A few maduros dropped by in the mail today.
The only ones I've smoked before are the 601 Blue Prominentes, so I now how good they are.

The others are Perdomo 10th Anniverseary Robustos and Oliva Serie O Churchills.

Can't smoke as often as a lot of you folks seem to so, adding these on top of my 2 full 50-75 humis and my full 100 humi ought to keep me busy for a long time.

And dont think that i havent considered a coolidor. But, i am really trying to keep from opening the floodgates and letting my purchases get out of control.

In fact, donating my big humi to my son-in-law on friday. Stocked with a good assortment. He is new to cigars and i would rather he spend his money on my daughter and grandkids. And, i will supply his relaxation time��

In the meantime, i can shop for a new humidor in september��

(If I can wait that long)

Had a TL Johnson event at the shop last night, turns out we are the only store in the state of Indiana to carry these......so after seeing these posted I was very curious so I bought a fiver, then the boss announced another discount in the evening for a limited time so I ended up buying a box minus 1.

Not sure about these Bahias. They are bran new and are huge. Havent had a chance to take enough time to try them. I think this Tues I will go spend the day at my favorite bar and see how long it takes. They remind me of the Bahia Icon by smell and appearance only a little stronger.

It's been about a year since I've really been excited about the release of a cigar. When I found out about the impromptu Pepper Crème Soda, I went on a hunt. I found out that they only had 250 bundles, and they were already pre-sold out. Tyler (Bighairlogo) hooked me up BIG TIME with Tony Bellatto. I was instructed to give Matt a call at Havana House in Ohio. Was able to snag a bundle of the Impromptu Pepper Crème Soda and an Impromptu One Night Stand. So, gave my 100 stick humi about 3/4 full to my son in law. Said i'd decide by Sept on another and don't mention coolidor.

Oops! Bought a small cooler (50qt) so needed to start filling.

And you will notice the connecticut patel's and nub's. Those are going to the son in law because he prefers that light and smooth.

Maduros are my preference so am studying Mac's posts :)

I'm not good with describing flavors Terry, but they are an excellent Maduro. There are 2 other Old Henry varieties, but I've had neither. They are made by Garcia for Holt's Cigar Co. You can catch them on sale every so often for a box, but even at $5.50 (Belicoso) for a single they are still a great smoke. :2

It's a damned tasty Maduro. I guess I'd describe it as somewhere between 601 Blue and Ortega Serie 'D' in both complexity and strength. Holt's sells them by the box, but they also almost always have them under the "6-packs to go" section for $19.95. That's a hell of a bargain IMNSHO.

Interesting....looks like the filler is the same, but the Serie D uses a Mexican wrapper instead of Nic.

Kevin Maninblack is my enabler.....I was sitting at work minding my own business and he sends me a text message that just my world into a whirlwind (this is a good thing) he says "did you see Eddie Ortega's post on Facebook?" I hadn't and I asked about it......turns out it was Eddie's birthday, and he was spreading his love about for the first 50 people who bought a box of any of his Wild Bunch cigars he would send them his 2013 sampler box for free (this is retailed at $120!!!!), but there was a catch, you had to either go into a store and have the clerk sign the receipt and send Eddie a pic via FB.

So I told Kevin none of my local B&M's carry Ortega's so he says Smoke Inn will cater to this promotion......so I call them up and....well see for yourself......Kevin, thank you for being my enabler.
