Got my cigar nerd fix for the month! FWIW, Farkas seemed like a pretty cool cat. Enjoyed meeting him and talking for a bit. Pete and Larry at the Pipe and Pint in Greensboro were fantastic hosts as usual. Mad props to them for hosting and for putting up a box of undead awesomeness for a little peon like me. Here's to hoping that the secret sauce is worth the pennies. :banger

Secret Sauce is good. Let the Shot Gun Shells spend a little down time in your humidor. They're a little on the wet side. I had two so far and both showed signs of needing at least a little dry box time at a minimum but I think a 6 to 8 week nap would improve them. On that same note I tried the Superlance and I will be honest, it was very unimpressive.

I'm sorry I'm not poking fun at Grandma but that was hilarious.

Let us know what you think of the TAAs. I had a few as well but really did not think they were ultra special. Tried the La Auora 107 Maduro TAA stick as well. Not bad but very very hard dry and to stay lit. A little rest I'm pretty sure would bounce them back.

Still have yet to see at my TAA B&M the Pete Johnson 10th anny TAA sticks. I was and am very very much looking forward to trying one.

In college I lived with a very poor guy that only had one pair of shoes (but like us all at the time always had money for beer) and to mess with him on nights he got hammered and had 8am class I'd put his shoes in the freezer. Especially hilarious in the dead of MN winter.

My Grandfather towards the end would insist on when we would go get him groceries or toiletries weekly like Mach 3 razor blades or bananas to only by one single blade or banana as he would not be around long enough to use 3 and did not want to waste them lol. And if he wanted an alcoholic beverage it had to be in the hotel mini-bar type bottles for the same reason.

He was hilarious at family dinners like Xmas and Thanksgiving as he was virtually deaf, had hearing aids but refused to use them and would sitting at the dining room table and rip ass as he thought no one could hear him lmao. We messed with him by sending subliminal messages under our breath like "Grandpa you should spoil yourself and buy a Corvette or a 30' boat to enjoy" he eventually caught on we were giving him crap related to the "I'm not going to be around long" as we wanted to inherit it. Ahh Gramps I miss ya!

No cigars today, but had to show off my new Xikar ZX Ultra Slim Carbon Fiber cutter. This thing is really thin, like 1/8" (credit card thickness). I've been using my Xikar X8 Carbon Fiber for almost three years now...figured it was time to give it a rest. This should hold me over until the shiny Stainless Steel Palio comes out. :D

Noice Scotty. Smoked that Master Blends 3 today and forgot how much I loved that stick when properly rested. Realized been smoking too many heavy strength profile and need to get back into the full body upper mid and that MB3 just hit the spot man.

I got that MOA off CB but when I got it only 2 sticks did not have the wrappers falling off so back she went. The Rumination is bad arse!

Anyway, I'm assuming you went to Stogies?My lumpy butt was one of five camped out on the front stoop like a Snoop Dog vid3o from 1200 to 1700. They "closed" at 1800 but closed at 2130. Very large crowd and great band.

Haven't tried them yet, they are taking a cold nap right now and then will get a rest in the humi.

Yep the Macanudo's look killer for sure but honestly you are paying for the band which is all metal. Cigar is so so, but always keep a few on hand to give to people as they have "the look".

They use a higher priming for the wrapper leaf. The flavors are much sharper in it IMO.
