Honestly, none from me yet. :) No issues whatsoever. Not even the antenna issue, but then I've had a case on it from the time I got to the car after purchasing it. Loving the clarity of the screen, and the pictures have been great so far. As for dropped calls, not a single one yet. There are a few dead zones I drive through, but they were issues with my non-ATT phone previously.

The only reason for the update was the security issue with .pdf. This was the issue that allowed the new iphones to be jailbroken.

When are they going to fix the proximity sensor issue? That my only real grip anymore with the 4. The death grip has been more manageable with the best skin ever on it and the case is on the way, but the proximity sensor is still the sucks.

The actual GPS itself won't, but by default you will be using data unless you are in a hotspot because it has to populate the map.

The proximity sensor in the iPhone 4 is what tells it how close the phone is to your face so that it can turn the touchscreen off while you’re making a phone call. This has the effect of a) saving battery power, and b) preventing inadvertent touches of the screen by your face.

The problem is that the proximity sensor in the iPhone 4 is on a hair trigger. It’s either not sensitive enough, miscalibrated or both.

I was trying to make it so that i could all together kill apps but keep them in the background if i wanted. Everytime i would go into sbsettings, ipod would be running even if i hadn't used it. If i killed the process, it would just be there a few seconds later again! This frustrated me and so i restored my phone. Now i'm thinking of jailbreaking but taking it slow and not going app-install-crazy. I don't know :)

I used Greenpois0n for my iPhone as well as Echo's. I JB a friends iPhone for them using Limera1n just because I wanted to see if there were any inherent differences.

I could see how that app would cause trouble with Backgrounder. They would just keep trying to cancel each other out.

just did a jb, love limera1n, takes like 2 seconds. Installed openssh, changed root and mobile passwords and turned sshd off. Installed winterboard, five icon dock, iFile, sbsettings so far thats it. Any suggestions? :)

Install activator through cydia, it allows you to set things to button presses ie. Short hold on home button to activate camera.. Whatever you want, it's pretty sweet... Insomnia is another good one.. Forces your iPhone to stay on wifi when it's available.. Facebreak is cool, it allows you to use FaceTime over 3G... 3G unrestrictor is awesome if you wanna use apps that require wifi over 3G... There's tons of great stuff.. I know a thing or two about jailbreaking lol ;-)

I did a system reset all settings, nothing else is selected in winterboard except the theme, and summerboard mode is on, wtf.

Turn Summerboard mode off. Oftentimes the new theme releases are programmed in Winterboard so when trying to use them in Summerboard mode it causes some issues. I had this issue once before with Echo's "Hello Kitty" theme. It fixed the problem :tu

Hmmmm ok...... first make sure that the specified theme is at the top of the list in Winterboard. Move it up past everything else. Then make sure that the specified theme doesn't have more than one component. I had the Pro 365 theme and it had like 10 things I had to check off or uncheck depending on how I wanted it to look. So check down at the bottom of the winterboard list just to make sure. If that fails... go into Cydia and try and re-install the theme itself.

I got the PRO one. If you get a chance check out the screen shots. Their awesome. My phone, not awesome.

I slid the PRO thing in Winterboard everywhere. On top of the others. Under the others. In the middle. Etc. I don't even see any of those options in Winterboard. Or anywhere else.

i just bought the pro one to see what you're talking about, in the screen shots - my calculator and dialer didn't look the same either.

Sadly, after some searching i found a thread, and the author said this theme wasnt made for the iphone 4, and he isn't sure if he's going to be updating it to work. He also goes on to say to get his theme ELITE HD or whatever. I'm not too keen on shelling out another couple bux after seeing this one fail after paying for it. well, first i spent 2.49 on the theme we both bought. Then i think 1.99 on the Elite PRO theme, not realizing the one i actually wanted was Elite Pro HD - So i spent another 3.99 on that one, and got the Color Signal and Wifi bars package from Cydia (because i didn't like the default signal/wifi bars in this theme) (still not as much as the price of a good retail cuban cigar - so i ain't complaining lOL) :)

No really. I got the five icon dock. Dosnt show up in winterboard matter what I try. I got the weather add on for Elite pro hd but can't edit the file because me file reader can't find it. Which means I can't change the weather off of, lakemore, I think.

i'm not sure what a file reader is, i use Ifile to navigate and edit/move files.

Five icon dock just works for me. Just install it and drag a 5th icon to your dock..the exact one i have is called "Five Icon Dock" and its from Cydia/Telesphoreo (tweaks)

I have iFile but i can't seem to view a file outside of the stock documents and picture folders.

So I got fileviewer which let's me go down the tree starting with system folders but o no avail because I get the following error.

Yes I paid 99 cents for iFile. I open it up and tere are only 4 folders to choose from with no way of getting system files, even thru the search feature.

there are 4 folders in ifiles default dir, but if you look above them you see that you are in /var/mobile - you can go back with the button in the top left that says var, think of it as unix's "cd .." going back one directory, and you can go back even farther /

Hmmm......

My first iPhone 4 lasted way better than the new one but I still get about a day and a half out of my second one, and that is with a 3 yr old grandson on the phone playing games a great part of the day.
I would contact Apple as that does not sound right.

as for the battery, once every second day. Just turn any notifications off you aren't using, turn off wifi when you aren't using it, its constant searching eats battery. Push notifications on email are big on battery usage, and turn your brightness down to where you're happy with it. After i turned off notifications on a bunch of crap i never used, battery lasted a lot longer

Nope, still syncs flawlessly and beautifully - but obviously your jailbroken apps/files wont be copied to your computer - just apple's default stuff as usual

I think he decided to place it on the floor but from about three or four feet in the air and I think that somehow affected the mic for the video camera.
I was sounding muffled when I recorded.

Called Apple. They trouble shot it over the phone. Had me do a re-set. Didn't fix it. Gave me an appointment for the next morning (today) at the Apple store about 15 minutes from me, they confirmed the issue and gave me a new one to go on my way.

Don't know about others but I have had nothing but great service from this company for any of my devices.

The problem people have is that it doesn't sense when something is close to it, not the opposite. If it were a problem with it being dirty, I would think that it would be difficult to get the screen to turn on, while this is the opposite problem.

Ive had issues after a phone call and the screen stays black for a little while with the phone down. Then i can't hit end. I just shake the bastard every which way and were all good from there.

The big surprise was only iTunes related, so nothing to get overly excited about. I won't expect a Verizon announcement until January and a phone available until June.

I just updated, but have not had a chance to look at the new features yet. Airprint is one of them though.

Airprint is a bust for me. Although I have an HP printer it isn't one of the ten that works with airprint.

I think it's already been mentioned but Heytell is kinda neat. it's a nextell type app.
