4th martini of the day and its not even 3PM yet.
Still 2.5OZ Tanqueray No10,1/2oz dolin dry vermouth, dash of home made orange bitters stirred over ice with a slice of cucumber makes one delicious martini.

Just got off work and decided to try something new. The aroma and flavor is very fruity reminds me a little of Panettone with the spice and the cocoa is very mild on the finish. Im thinking there might be some chili added because theres a nice little burn on the lips. This would pair well with any strong maduro, Give it a try!!! :tu

A variation on a regular martini ive made specially for my Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente smokes as i find them somewhat sweet tasting i mixed something to highlight that but also add depth with three other flavours bitter, sour, salty
A 2 1/2Oz gin dilution of tanqueray rangpur(1 1/2oz) and tanqueray No10 (1oz).
1/2Oz of dolin dry vermouth
Dash of orange bitters regans No5 is good but i use home made now.
Dash of lime bitters.
Stirred over ice with 2 olives as garnish the acidic lime helps balance the flavour of the smoke right till the end where the salty finish really goes well with the very last few puffs IMO.
Though you might need to drink 4 or 5 to make it to ration it to the last puff.

Having a Thomas Tew neat. It's a craft distilled rum made in Newport, RI. It's aged for a couple of years in oak, but it's a little rough around the edges.

Glenmorangie Lasanta.
Do you like the Jameson special and limited reserve? I have tried the 12 year, a little too mellow for my taste.
The Gold Reserve is my favorite. Followed by the regular. Not the biggest fan of the 12 and 18 year. Like you said a bit mellow.
Honestly the regular Jameson is great. Gold Reserve if you can find it and have the cash.

I hear that, I only saw it on the little Tag that came on the bottle. Mixing suggestions, figured maybe that cocoa bottle might have it too.
90%+ of the time I just drink everything straight, but I get bored and occasionally want a good mixed drink.
With that, maybe a white russian....Russian Quaalude. Might be able to use it in any drink where Kahlua is suggested.
What the Patron website suggests, give that a look over. Hopefully you can finish the bottle painlessly. http://patrontequila.com/menus/view/10

Had a number of good wines this evening but the highlight for me was a martini with a gin I had never had before. Keith (BigAsh) gave me a heads up about Death's Door gin. It is a small distillery in Madison WI that makes a gin, vodka, and white whisky. The gin is quite good. I would certainly buy it again and plan to keep it in my rotation. I also plan on trying the white whisky soon.
Thanks, Keith. :tu

Finishing off another case of Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA tonight. I really love this beer; hoppy as you could want from an imperial IPA, but balanced with a fair level of malt such that even the average IPA hater could find something to love. Rich, complex and @ 9% gets you buzzed off 2 or 3. I find this never disappoints me.

Don't give up on the Bastard until you've tried the "Oaked" Arrogant Bastard Ale. The extra time in oak barrels really takes the bitterness out and considerably smooths it out into a delicious brew. That's one beer that I miss, living on the East Coast now; the prices are just way more than I'd like to pay for it after living only 30 miles from the brewery all my life and having it ubiquitous and relatively inexpensive. On the plus side, Bell's and Dogfish Head are way more affordable now that I live on the east coast. :tu
