I'm kind of a watch junkie and I've owned just about everything in the 50 to 5000 dollar price range at one time or another, but the one that currently impresses me a great deal is the Seiko Superior line. Pictured is the one I have. Very well built with a finely finished steel case. A very good 23j movement and hardlex crystal with display back. Bought it for a little over 160.00. It's water resistant to 100 meters. I can't believe the price given the overall quality of this watch. It's as good as many I've owned at 5 times the price. Very accurate too.

I agree with you, however, about the build quality being the final factor. That's why I wear a Rolex.

I have 2 Orients, 2 Citizens, and a few Invictas, and a couple Sieko. I would go for a Seiko or Citizen if you're gonna spend over $250. If you want something for under $150, look at the Orients or Invictas.
Check out Blue Dial, they have good prices and really quick shipping.

My Citizen 8700 (quartz) is accurate to about 1 second per 4 days, and it's never been serviced in 7 years. |
