Pepe's Apizza, Wooster St. New Haven CT. There is no comparison anywhere.

The one I make in my oven

May not be the BEST pizza out there, but it's darn good, and I can make fun things like goat cheese, pesto, and olive pizza.

I second this . I drive an hour and a half a couple times during the winter just to cure my hole families craving . You can actually taste all 3 ingredients , the crust , the sauce and the cheese . Put some pepperoni on top or whatever and it only gets better ! I happen to work in South Philly and have never found a great pizza place , one would think that with all the Italians living there that great pizza would be on almost every corner . If anyone knows of any great pizza in South Philly , please let me know where .

Mack and Manco's is great. I try to have it at least a couple of times each summer.

Well when you come back for a visit you will have to let me know and we will hit Wooster St. and then the Owl shop. Or we can just get a big group together and kick it on my back deck again.
