You might have missed this tidbit in the rules:

The Administrators & Moderators of Cigar Asylum reserves the right to modify, delete, correct, or make any changes required to make this a place enjoyable to the masses.

...and to answer your question about if it will be continuing:

Yes, if the administrative team feels it should be closed or deleted, it will be without anyones permissions to do so.

I have any number of friends with whom I strongly disagree with on some subjects. In an effort to continue the friendship, we simply agree to disagree and refuse to debate something we know is not going to end well.

It's true Tim.

The TOE probably has 50 years+ of cigar forum moderation between them (with poker being "The Man"), and thus we have a pretty keen nose for threads that are or will devolve quickly. Threads are not closed because of personal feelings or bias...they are closed because the violate the rules, and even the spirit, of the Cigar Asylum.
