Closing Threads

Whoever it was who closed a thread a bit ago I'd sure like a reason for it since it was a thread that was pretty innocuous and was not causing any issues,,,everybody was civil and it was just a topic that addressed "The Cost of War"

Is this something that is going to continue that threads dissapear without so much as a word? pathetic:2

Re: Closing Threads

Your thread didn't disappear. It's still there. Just closed.

We don't allow political or religious threads here. Never have. Never will. It's in the rules and everyone knows or should know it.

Honestly, when you posted a thread titled "Cost of the War" did you not think it would turn political?

Re: Closing Threads

The reason it remained civil is because most of us are not stupid enough to be baited into political discussions in this forum. It was quite obvious from the thread topic that you were looking for a discussion that was beyond the bounds of CA.

Most here like cake and not butt-cream.

Honestly it was a thread that was coasting along without any issues because people on here are able to discuss things like adults but if you think it was political then you'd have to close quite a few threads on here with the posts that are made. Your place, your rules,,,I thought this was a place run by adults as the members here are pretty peaceful people who pretty much know how to police themselves.

C'mon now.....just let it be.

It's understandable you prefer for the thread to be left opened and you explained as to why. Ok so you're upset and you bring up a good point as to why you are.

But the fact of the matter is it's closed. Let's just move on and let this be.

If you would like to pursue the issue further please PM the mods and discuss it amongst them via PM. The last thing we need here is animosity.

You are free to leave if you don't approve of the guidelines and/or actions of the administrators here.

I like some of the brothers on here who tend to be very reasonable and fair minded but thanks for reminding me of what I am able to do. If I left here that might make you happy and you know I can't let that happen, Peter. Somebody has to remind you that you don't own the place so relax.:D

You are free to stay. You are free to go.
But as a point of clarification, I, along with 10 others, DO own the place.

I think I would have received that memo Gary.

Rules are rules and we own the place, that's how it is.
Our guidelines aren't a secret.
