Need help finding something

A scanned PDF is not easily search-able. You must also run an OCR program so the search engine can recognize the text. Adobe Pro has OCR built in but it is not particularly robust.

I have a number of crudely scanned IEEE documents that are word searchable.

Maybe its dependent on the font?
