Well the incident has been boiled down here. In context, the guy was heckling Cobb for innings. Cobb told the Umpire and Managers to have the man removed, and they failed. The guy shouted something about Cobb's mother, so Ty made good on his promise to fix the situation himself.

Then Cobb led the baseball players out on strike to fix the abuse problem.
It worked.
I bet the whole scene was hilarious to watch, but you really have to wonder about a guy who beats up cripples.
