Shipping cost from Europe is probably a deal breaker though.

It definately is, and it has also increased in price making it is no longer competitive to buy here in the USA. Also, from personal experience, it is not packed well for shipping. The unit I own was the third one that was delivered as the first two was badly damaged in shipping. As I said, this has served me well in 10 years. Set the temperature and humidity, add distilled water when it chimes, and change the filter annually. Oh yeah, and smoke and replace cigars...that takes a lot of work, but I will have to deal with it...
