I'm not sure why all these franchises head that direction. Like the Batman with the dead guy who played Joker. I thought that movie sucked.

Going down this Civil War path is just a bit much. Miles too much.
Granted, you can only destroy so many evil alien hoardes, and they already worked over WW2, but the Civil War? To me, that's sacrosanct.
They still haven't touched irradiated zombies. There's a good 2 1/2 hours right there.

Of course they get dark, it's much more real life (if you can say that about superheros) compared to the old Batman t.v. series, cities are being destroyed, 1000s dying, it's dark, hence the founding threads of the Civil War story line, people blame the heroes for the deaths and cities being destroyed.
