Marvel is teasing a return in the comics to this starting in the summer, and the Cap 3 movie is supposed to kick off Civil War on the screen.

This would play in well because RDJr has been saying for a while, or hinting, that he doesn't want to be Iron Man for the rest of his life and that changes are coming, Civil War would play into that perfectly.
