If you want to see truly bad service for extortion prices... look no further than Canada Post...
I've had packages returned to me because they've confused the To: for the From:....

We pay ridiculous prices compared to USPS, but maybe it's due to them using dogsleds for delivery...

Maybe it's cuz USPS is hemoragging money. They're in the red every year
