Meet & greet with Aaron Lewis of Staind before his solo show tonite. My daughter's a huge fan and this was her early bday gift. He did mostly his newer country-ish stuff but ended with a few acoustic Staind tracks. Great night except my back does not like me standing in one spot for 4+ hours.

Springsteen tonite @ Fenway Park. Almost a 4-hr show. I'm not the hugest Boss fan, but damn that man can perform. And he's 62. Puts me to utter shame with his energy.

Plus he did a really cool tribute to Johnny Pesky, a Fenway icon who passed away this week.

Jane's Addiction Friday night...kind of feel bad even saying their name here they sucked so bad. I was a big fan and was really looking forward to this show. Even they're biggest songs, some high-school garage band could've done better. I am highly disappointed. The tix weren't cheap either. They phoned it in and were just there for the paycheck.

Do yourself a favor and skip this band in the future.

Vai is always fun. Just stand there with your mouth open in amazement.

I caught ZZ top at a great venue a couple weeks ago in Troutdale (Portland).
Played the par 3 golf course, had some grub and on site brewed beer the went to see the greatest little band from Texas. All in one spot. Google Edgefield for visiting pleasure. ZZ still got it. Great show.-(P

My daughter, wife, and daughter's boyfriend were not all that excited about the show. They are all Sons Of Bill converts now. These guys are hard to classify. I would go with Uncle Tupelo meets REM meets Radiohead. These guys are gonna be big!

My wife and I just returned from seeing Disturbed and Rob Zombie, with Pop Evil as opening act. I'm not that familiar with Pop Evil, but they did a good set despite technical difficulties with the rhythm guitarist. I was excited to see Rob Zombie just because John 5 is an monster guitarist.
Disturbed killed it with a great set which included an eclectic medley ***spoiler alert for folks that might be seeing them this tour but want to be surprised*** that went from 'Closer' by NIN to U2's 'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' to 'Baba O'Reilly' by The Who into 'Killing in the Name' by RATM. Ian's voice had some of the same qualities of Freddie Mercury, some songs he really sounded like him.

The Cult was great, but I was hoping for more performance/improv than what they did. They played everything right to the original recording; not so many guitar solos. Duran Duran had more guitar solos and mixing one song into the next. Both rocked about equally. The Cult was straight up, Duran Duran mixed video in their performance which must can set somewhat.

I'd see either band again any time they are in town. Duran Duran is coming back the area in a month or two.

Think of a harder rocking Creed, with a better singer. :lr

Only a slightly better singer, to me he sounded like a mildly talented Chris Cornell wannabe. They are tight but booooring, left after 4 songs

Let's pull this one out the closet - I'm a music nut and my soon to be 14-year old daughter also following close behind. Nothing like hearing a kid in the backseat singing to Pablo Cruise, Garth Brooks, or Social Distortion. My parents surely weren't music folks, so my concert experience was very limited until late in high school, college, and afterwards. I really want her to be fully immersed as a teenager, plus it's something a middle-aged guy can do with his teenager. Her first concert was last year and started with Darius Kucker, then Weezer/Pan!c at the Disco in the spring, 21 Pilots (her favorite) last summer, and Maroon 5 last autumn. This year we have 8 summer/late fall shows lined up. Started with Collective Soul/Tonic/Our Lady Peace in June, Steve Earle (front row) in July, and Jason Isbell in July (which was my last concert via the OP). This Sunday is Matchbox Twenty/Counting Crows, Hall and Oates in Sept, Judah & the Lion and Foo Fighters in Oct, and ending with Imagine Dragons for her birthday in November. Several of these were small, intimate venues all the way to amphitheaters up to large coliseums. I can think of nothing better to spend my cigar budget on.

Very cool thing to do, Jamie. Memories to last a lifetime.

I just saw Postmodern Jukebox at San Diego State Open Air Amphitheater. Fabulous show. Far exceeded my expectations.

Would love to see the Foo Fighters again, last time was in a small (1500 peeps) venue in 1995.

Last concerts I went to were Trace Adkins & Morrissey about a year ago.

Elys and I are planning Duran Duran this year in Boston or NY. We may have an opportunity to hang out with Duran Duran in Boston, so that may determine it. Grace Jones is playing with them in NY hence wanting to go to that show.

They said they were gonna tour in 2024, I hope with dates in Singapore. Singapore is hot for performers nowadays, with muslims in Malaysia protesting against rock and pop concerts they all scrap (potential) Kuala Lumpur dates for Singapore dates. Coldplay 6 days in a row and sold out in no-time. Taylor Swift sold out 6 concerts in a few hours as well.

My wife couldn't even get tickets for Coldplay, she's a fan, so now I'm taking her to Bangkok in February to see the band

We live in The Villages FL and they have a Blues Society club which holds regular concerts once or twice a month. So far this year we have been to these concerts.

Damon Fowler
Kat Riggins & the Blues Revival
John Nemeth
Mr. Sipp
Vaness Collier

We also went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando to see Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Samantha Fish opened for him back in February.

@Don Fernando Sorry to hijack thread...

How stocked are the watch stores at Ion Orchard, or the Sands mall?
