I've smoked a few Opus over the years and always found them to be overrated. But it has been at least 6 or 7 years since I smoked one, so when I saw these available at a B&M in Billings, MT, I grabbed one.
Not an inexpensive cigar at $30/stick. I gotta say, this was an absolutely fantastic smoke. A lot more depth to the flavor than the Opus I've smoked in the past. I remember smoking an Opus X years ago that I swore could have been a $3 bundle cigar. Not this one. This is an excellent smoke. Flavors go from straight tobacco to a woodsy flavor to a really nice, intense 'baking spice' flavor that I normally only get from Nicaraguan cigars. Flavors become a bit muted in the last 1/3. Perfect burn and draw. Final thoughts...this was a really good cigar, but for $30/stick, I can get Cuban Montes. For a NC, it's overpriced.

Agree 100%. They're a great smoke, but I won't pay for them. Not when I can get two or three great NCs for the same price.
