![]() ![]() This 6.5×52 box pressed torpedo features a dark brown oval pressed wrapper with a slight spongy give, faint red hue and soft velvet feel with a rich barnyard aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with good medium body smoke output giving very smooth, oily and creamy textured tobacco and leather notes with a slight sweetness on the finish. The first light is almost the same, just a tad muted but very smooth and well blended. The draw also includes a bit of nuttiness, but no one flavor really pops out. 20 minutes in the 1st third ends by shifting flavors dramatically to a very deep and substantial earthiness that really overwhelms you, bringing body up to medium-full and leaving a long finish. 30 minutes in, flavors change yet again, going to a creamy coffee and aged tobacco, also bringing the pepper up a touch and adding a bit of spice to the finish. The earth has dropped completely. 45 minutes in part of the burn reaches the 1/2 way point, the rest lagging about 1/2″ behind. Flavord at this point are bouncing back and forth between the earthiness and coffee, with the sweetness sometimes going to a caramel. The ash is still holding on, however I’m going to ash it and touch up the burn. Ending at 1:30 min the remainder of the stick was the same. Video on the site
