I recently saw a barberpole cigar with a green stripe and I had no idea what it was, so I started my hunt. I found out it was a candela wrapper, and then found out that it was a really popular wrapper in the 50's and 60's, which finally explains why some of the fake gangster cigars at the halloween store were a mint green shade. Needless to say, now I'm very curious
So I've found that the Illusione Holy Lance Candela was really good, but I can't find any (plus my cigar budget is blown until december ![]() |

I have only smoked a couple and wasn't a fan. My understanding is that most are very mild and that's why I don't care for them. I like strong cigars. I am no expert on the subject by no means though.

I really don't have any clue about them, so if I get a chance to get one I'm taking it, I've just never even seen one, so its one of those things I gotta try, like it or not

Yeah, that's one thing, I don't wanna spend a whole lot on something that's like the Illusione Epernay I had recently (buttery burning paper

I had a Graycliff candella and wasn't a fan. It was long time ago, but I think it was somewhat bitter.

I was sent a sample of Candelas. The best was the A.F. Candela, BUT that is no saying too much. They mostly tasted like grass. If you had the Illusione hl Candela, then you probably had the best Candela out there IMHO.

Actually, the Illusione Holy Lance Candela is quite good...surprisingly good, honestly...
I would buy a box, if I could find one...Grassy, sure, but with a great spice and sweetness as well... ~brooks |

Anything green like that instantly brings to mind the AyC Grenadier. How i LOATHE the smell of those things....... used to work in a stop and go type place and there was a guy who always smoked em, always came in drunk, and on a few occasions puked on the floor.. I don't do green cigars, no matter if the angels made em or not.

Is it wrong to order some of these for St. Patty's day, or is it the n00b thing to do? I'll be ordering at least a fiver of green cigars. hopefully they don't suck.

That's a fun idea! I think a green cigar should go with your green beer!
