I was wondering how someone would temporary store cigars until the humidor and beads get here and also time for the humidor to season. I tired to search but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I plan on using a cooler for bulk storage and have a desktop for easy access storage. |

If using the tupaware...ensure that you open it at least once a day for a minute or so...let it breath.

These work great and are cheap from WalMart - http://www.organize.com/lolofostco.html
For humidity, wet a new sponge with distilled water or grab a water pillow from a local B&M! ![]()

I use a ziplock bag with a water pillow in it for overflow storage.

I agree with the water salt solution. This would give you 75% humidity and therefore over-humidify your sticks. I am with the others, get a water pillow or inexpensive humidification tube from your B & M. Worst case Scenario, Smoke the hell out of those sticks!

Eleven replies and no one has said "Send them to me for safekeeping" yet...
You guys are slipping. I'll take one for the team, so send them to me for safekeeping, storage fees are two cigars per week for every 50 or fraction thereof stored plus a two cigar processing fee. Bulk rates available. |

Haha now come on, But thanks. I'll check the local B&M and see if they have humid sticks until I get everything up and running.
One more thing that I noticed is that some sticks are in cello, do I leave them in there or remove them when storing? |

Ha! Oh boy. Well, I'd say leave em in the cello until your humidor get all nice and seasoned, then you may do with them what you wish.
