I am glad no one was hurt, and hopefully these guys can get their ship back to fishable conditions before next season.

I don't think at all this news was reported because years ago this ship was on a reality show. If you look at the news source, Katu News, which is based out of Portland, Or., one of the major industries there are the fisheries. This ship is now used as a salmon fishing vessel which ended work less than two weeks ago as Alaskan Salmon season ended in the start of the month. Most ships are stored for this type of business in Portland and Seattle, an easy port area with not as violent weather as Alaska can have. It was reported just because it is of business to the local area. If it was reported in New York on the other hand that may be of questionable news worthiness.
