Skip the tie. It's overkill, I've been 100% at job interviews 7/7. I ALWAYS wear slip on dress shoes, my nicest jeans and a button up shirt untucked. Comb your hair, shave and success. Overdressing will show that you're desperate and have no confidence. If you smoke, DON'T before hand. Once they hire you, they won't care but at the interview it's off putting.
Seems you overdressed, Ah well. Good luck anyways man! |

Well done, D!
Sounds like you made a favorable impression... 40 minutes after the other two guys sounds like you impressed them. ![]() Hope it goes well from here forward. I know they will be getting a hard worker. Want to use me for a reference? ![]()

Anything under $15 an hour and I'm not wearing a tie. At a certain point overdressing does show desperation and lack of confidence...say you apply at mcdonalds......yeah....walmart...yep. Certain jobs all you need to do is walk in dressed decently and be very confident. This has been my case every time. Of course I'm 24 and haven't applied for any job over $30,000 a year.

Yeah that is true 1/8 of an inch is the longest they usually want facial hair. MAYBE a quarter inch but no longer.
