My father-in-law still believes that the Wizard of Oz was originally in black and white b/c he first saw it on a b&w tv.

I was wondering about that one too. I think maybe the original was B&W, then Ted had it colorized and that is the version most likely to be aired on the movie channels.

I too think Cool Hand Luke was color. But one of the best scenes in movie history. Two words: Car wash.

Liberty Valance.

Good one Scott, one of my fav's for both John Wayne and James Stewart.

Nope, Hitchcock shot it in color.

However, I would add Hitchcock's Psycho to this list (if it hasn't been mentioned already).
