I just had to go take care of my buddy's dog. He's got just over 30 days and found himself in jail this morning over stuff he did while he was still out there.
He's come a long way in the last few months. A little stint in jail should steel his resolve. Jail sucks.
I've been blessed with day 2,670 today. Thank God.

2670 days is easy, you just don't drink and don't die. They just add up.
All we have is right now, brother. It takes awhile to catch on to how precious this very moment is, but it sinks in eventually.
Then it makes perfectly good sense to make the best of it.

The best thing I ever learned is that good things take effort. "Don't drink, don't die" requires no effort on my part whatsoever.
God is all that is good. My relationship with Him requires effort. I need to love Him with all my strength, all my heart, and all my soul.
That's tough for this dumbass to pull off. I so love working on it, though.

I've got 2610, you're 60 days up on me Scott!(Not that it's a race, more like a marathon.) I have to rework my relationship with God. I've been in a bit of a funk for the last couple of weeks. And I haven't given my best effort to God for about a year now. God's taken care of me, now it's time to remember to actively give thanks. I think I'll put up a sig line now.

Being as I used the word "good" twice, it reminded me of this...

That leaves little argument about how short I fall from God, but I can still bust my ass to head in the right direction every single day.

You can still win the marathon, I just gotta die first. I just bought a motorcycle, so the odds are in your favor.
